Man that song is the bomb right there. I downloaded it off of iTunes recently cause it sounded like a cool track. Man, that song tore me up! Chaka's voice and the groove is sheer delight! You can't sit still to this track, you just can't. Classic jam all the way. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Didn't it seem that Chaka was being pushed more and more up front and she really didn't "need" the band anymore?

Kinda, but Chaka had done a few outside projects around that time (Quincy's Sound and Stuff Like That album for one). Not to mention I think her solo debut album had come out a few months before and she had a huge hit with "I'm Every Woman". So I wouldn't be surprised if there was some friction in the group. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

same here this was one of my mama's records that I constantly dug for as a kid... I only liked the song the thread is about, "Heaven Bound" and "Live In Me" I didn't get into the rest of the album til a handful of years ago loves it though I did have to warm up to it "Walk The Rockway" is FUCKING FIERCE!!! [Edited 3/19/09 21:05pm] because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

"What Am I Missing" was another
one that I loved as a kid about DYLWYF though love it! and I love "Rockin & Rollin" by Cam'ron which samples this, and is produced by Jermaine Dupri... he did a nice job of interpolating [Edited 3/19/09 21:09pm] because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

I agree."Do You Love What You Feel" is the highlight and a few other songs are cool, but this album sounds very formulaic. On a few songs,Chaka's vocals seem buried in the mix. It's hard to believe that Quincy Jones produced this album.I guess he saved his best ideas for MJ's 'Off The Wall'
