If I could take the production of the Tamia version and put it together with the vocals of Mica's version, it would be perfect. There are things that I like about both versions. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Allmusic's review of the song:
Mica Paris' original rendition of Rod Temperton's ballad supreme "You Put a Move on My Heart" shames Tamia's more successful rendition. Island Records never promoted Paris' much and it went virtually unnoticed except for her fans and those who caught her satisfying live act. It helped that Tamia's rendition was part of Quincy Jones' best-selling Juke Joint CD; Paris' Whisper a Prayer's sales -- from whence this song came -- pale in comparison. Paris' glorious tone, however, never pales; it glows like a warm fire as the devastating British woman squeezes the last drop of soul from the lyrics.

...
I always preferred Mica's version, didn't like Tamia's that much (actually now that I think about it, I didn't like anything on Q's Juke Joint, but that's another story).... ... " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout
