Yeah, that tracklist truly sucks lol That has to be a fan-made creation (bootleg).I like the packaging, though.

Aside from a true singles collection, I think no one is going to be pleased.

I find the above list intriguing as focuses on newer material. I think the list is pretty encompasing, but I am hoping there will be a different selection.

that's my wish as well. but i'd be happy with a compromise that split the difference. a 2-disc main release with the biggest hits, and then a 3rd disc with more as a deluxe collectors special edition etc.

though at this point, my Madonna comp with all single versions is already maxed out at 4 discs, and that with all of the "sort-of" singles like Where's The Party and I Want You filler trimmed from it.

The latest rumour is that the GH will have 3 new songs, produced by Paul Oakenfold or Fedde le Grand, with one of the new songs being a reworked track from the 2002 Mirwais sessions.

None of the new tracks are supposed to be performed on the summer tour though.

Interesting.I wonder what the reworked song will be? There are some cool outtakes from those 2002 sessions.

That's cool about a reworked song she did with Mirwais from the AL sessions. I enjoyed their work together much more so than the HC stuff.
I really like the song The Game they did together. It's been floating around the Internet. Has anyone heard any other songs from those sessions?

if she's going for the urban vibe again, dallas austin would be great.

if she wants dance, get Stuart or Shep back on board pronto! we don't need any more mirwais outtakes...they hit their creative ceiling on 'Music' and 'American Life'...period!

^No, she definitely shouldn't "get back" anyone.

Even if it's a Mirwais composition, it's obviously not gonna sound like Music or American Life if it's reworked by a house DJ.

I believe "The Game" was the only leaked track from the AL sessions. Many fans assume the reworked track would be "Can't You See My Mind", which was written for the James Bond movie before "Die Another Day" replaced it to match the film title.

I certainly hope she doesn't bring back Dallas Austin. I didn't care for their work on Bedtime Stories at all. In fact, Madonna should avoid urban?/R&B music at all costs. It doesn't suit her. I found her work with Mirwais very creative and interesting. Shep and Stuart are more mainstream dance.

I like Mirwais but I think the two of them already went as far they can go,creatively. She recorded two albums with him.I'd love for Madonna to do an album with these producers...

*Dangermouse---I have fond memories of the last Gorillaz album, which he largely produced. That's exactly the type of edgy dance/pop/R&B sound that Madonna could do wonders with.

*Jamiroquai---Madonna is into retro grooves these days, and nobody does retro better than Jamiroquai.Their disco/dance/funk grooves would blend perfectly with her pop style.

*JuniorSenior---It's a shame that these guys don't get the attention they deserve.Their second album is excellent....a unique blend of 80s-sounding New Wave/dance/pop with a twist of hip-hop.Very catchy stuff.

I hope it's a rumour.

And I hope she won't rework The Game. It's an okay song, too slow and introspective for my taste (when it comes to Madonna), and why would you want it, you awready got it.

I hope one track's Across The Sky.

So, if Timbaland will release his new album in 2009, we'll probably get 4 new songs!

I don't think The Game will be the reworked track. Someone said it's something that's never been heard before. They said it would be reworked, but not necessarily into a dance version. I think if anything Madonna has done too much dance uptempo stuff recently. I'd like to see one midtempo or ballady thing on the Greatest Hits.

why hould be The Game the song, no one ever heard of? Isn't there another song written for Die Another Day, that was refused? How about that?

Also there surely are plenty of songs more we don't know.

I wouldn't speculate over The Game.

Her stuff with Dallas Austin was great. Secret is an amazingly understated-yet powerful madonna single, particularly for a first single, and Sanctuary is one of my all time fave album tracks. Even the outtake Your Honesty is more interesting than alot of her more recent stuff.

I think Dallas is a really talented producer, but he's not very diverse, and as Madonna would say "been there, done that". She'd gain nothing going backwards. She needs someone fresh and new. I hope she doesn't recycle producers, but maybe another collaboration with Pat leonard, Joe Henry or babyface would yield a nice song or two.

I dont like it when people say madonna shouldnt do R&B / urban music. Erotica was the most urban bloody record she's done, and stands as one of her best. R&B means nothing in this era - its a redundant tag. Her last album was apparently R&B, but i didn't hear it - it was still dance. Id love to see her tackle R&B properly, with a real band. That in itself would be the most contrversial, different thing she could do - get a real band to play on one of her records....give it some ooomph.

I guess it's a matter of personal taste. I'm the first person to admit I"m not the biggest R&B fan. I know some Madonna fans and even not so big fans that love Secret, but it's not one of my favorite songs. I like Sanctuary, but I think Your Honesty is one of the worst things she ever did. I have no idea why she released it on that Remixed and Revisited cd.
I'm a huge Erotica fan, but I don't see the R&B influence on Erotica at all. To me, that's more of a house/club record influenced by the underground gay scene. I would like to see her work with a real band, but maybe more in a pop/rock vein like Pink or Kelly Clarkson but better, definitely not R&B.

Secret is the shit!

Agreed-Your Honesty is wack. Who knows what was up with that dumb EP? It was all Warners trying to recoup some of the cash they lost on American Life in the States? Who knows...that thing was a hot mess and so was Caresse.

The R&B influence is all over Erotica. That's one of the reasons why it's her best. Erotica, Bye Bye Baby, Where Life Begins, Waiting, Whys It So Hard, Secret Garden...all great Madonna tunes.

Kelly Clarkson is the the direction Madonna should go in? eek eek

"Secret" is one of Madonna's best singles of the 90s.That song is beautiful music A warm, hypnotic melody and great lyrics....what's not to like? I wouldn't complain if she gave us another single in that vein.

"Your Honesty" is a good song, too. It should have replaced "Don't Stop" on Bedtime Stories. It's a stronger, better song.

Your Honesty, Let Down Your Guard & Freedom are among her worst songs and they were all done by Dallas Austin.

"Sanctuary" is fantastic but remember the version we know was remixed by Nellee Hooper to have an electronic-trip hop feel. "Don't Stop" was also remixed, by Daniel Abraham, just like "Your Honesty" in fact.

The "raw" Dallas sound can only be heard in "Secret" and the 2 outtakes, the rest was produced or remixed by someone else. He co-wrote "Survival" but Nellee Hooper got the production credit...
