I could have liked the Cranberries - Zombie and Salvation were hot, but that first single, Linger, was LOATHESOME, and for no other reason than the chorus - what language exactly is she speaking in that chorus - to me it sounds like Valley Gaelic? err

It's English.

BTW, "Dreams" was the band's first single here in the USA. "Linger" was the follow-up single. "Zombie" was the lead single from the second album, No Need to Argue.

"Linger" remains my favorite Cranberries song, but there are plenty of great ones ("Ridiculous Thoughts," "Free to Decide," "Ode to My Family," "Zombie," etc.).
