I'm glad Teena needs to go back to her roots and do real music with real instruments none of the watered down R&B sound today.
She is one of the few leading old school R&B artists still keeping it real and she needs to show this new generation how it is done.

This is very good news, I've been waiting patiently since 'Sapphire' which was a great album, not as good as 'La Dona' IMO, but still good, I'm sooooo glad she left Cash Money, they had no idea how to promote her music, both of her Cash Money releases could have had more singles hit the air waves, I don' think they had a clue what to do with an artist of her caliber. They only seem to care about Lil' Wayne right now, for reasons that are beyond me, but whatever.
I can't wait for the album. Lady Cab Driver is one of the greatest songs ever!

I'm not so sure about this. I was rather disappointed with the quality of the Stax offerrings from Lalah Hathaway and Angie Stone. I'm not sure if Teena will be able to do any better. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

I like the two Cash Money albums.Yeah, each one had a few embarassing tracks, but there were enough good songs to keep me happy.Still, the new deal with Stax sounds promising. It may inspire Teena to come out with something really soulful and "Old School" sounding...like a return to her early 80s funk sound.

I thought they were both good. You really have to be a good listener to dig lalah sometimes. Her music very seldom is for the dance floor. Her music is usually to relax and chill to. Angie had the better offering although a few of the songs sounded similar. Her cd was definitely made for the bedroom. Don't laugh at my funk

I heard a track from it called "Marry Me" a beautiful ballad on Music Choice. If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!
