Love it (but y'all knew that). It's my favorite TFF song after "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and "Sowing the Seeds of Love." "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I really like the literal video version:

DJ Eli Escobar from NY did a cool party beat with this song called "Heavenly Break" with the opening Tears For Fears riff, Ike and Tina drum break layered underneath, and the singing from "Heaven And Hell Is On Earth" by 20th Century Band over top.

This might be in my all time fave Tears top 5 songs. I love the whole "Big Chair" album, but I have yet to hear their 1st cd. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

WTH are you waiting for? Go buy it! What about their other albums? "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

This is my favorite by them too. It is a great song and who wouldn't
want to sing this to their lady. Video is classic too. This is one of those classics you never tire of. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

I agree you never tire of this joint. They just don't make songs like this anymore. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

A great song with a timeless feel to it "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

One more reason for me to hate him. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Note: It is replayed, and "Testimonial" is an intro.

Songs like this really make you wonder what the hell happened to music. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Normally I don't ride that train of thought but this song made me think of that exactly.

I wanted to be with you alone
and talk about the weather But traditions I can trace against the child in your face Won't escape my attention You keep your distance with a system of touch And gentle persuasion Im lost in admiration could I need you this much Oh, you're wasting my time You're just wasting time That's a love song right there. Hell, that first verse is a helluva poem. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

It's OK but I never cared too much for that one. I prefer "Everybody Wants To Rule The World". Andy is a four letter word.

It wouldn't happen to be because everybody wants to rule the world is fast isn't it. I think we will both agree that this song is better than any ballad that miss goody two shoes sung right. Don't laugh at my funk

I have never liked "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" it just didn't seem to fit in with their other music "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

CLASSIC! Easily my favorite Tears for Fears track -- and, yeah, those lyrics are a beast!
Also... I just realized a few months ago that the video was shot at my seminary! Our library looks generally the same nearly 25 years later, except there are now internet terminals where the card catalog was. It's hard not to walk up in there now without humming the song's intro. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
