I liked the Album with "losing Myself" and "Shock your Mama". She should have taken an R&B turn sooner in her career but you could tell her record label was directing the sound.

I think they promoted one album as "Debbie does on this record what Madonna only talks about!". Too funny! I got her first 4 albums, and "body mind and soul" is by far her most consistant album. She got some co-writers and producers on this one (she did on "anything is possible" aswell, but not nearly enough). Having said that, "shock your mama", despite its deliberately tongue in cheek humour, is a pretty terrible song to me  | |
