D'angelo - Maxwell - Badu in 2009?

Does anyone really believe these 3 are coming out with new projects this year? Especially D'angelo & Maxwell?

well it would be very nice if they did but i've passed the point
of hoping for releases.

with d'angelo and maxwell it's a case of "if i'm listening to it
on my mp3player i'll believe it" even more so than with prince.

i'm sure erykah will go ahead with that second disc this year.
she just has to. or i'll throw a world class hissie fit, lol.

All three..no way. But definitely Badu and Maxwell. You would think with the success of his tour MAX would be available by now.

I thought this was a tour line up!

We'll see Badu, maybe Maxwell by Summer/Fall. Don't know about D'Angelo.

Badu has the better chance of coming out before Maxwell and D'Angelo do. I hope they both come out with new CD's this year but I'm not holding my breath.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I know Maxwell more than likely is releasin somethin soon. I seen him on 106 and he was talking about the NEW album and what we can expect.

I don't know about D'angelo. It's always a mystery with him.
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

Isn't the Badu album due this month on the 17th?

Maxwell and D'Angelo should be later in the year.

I hate the fact that I actually care whether or not Maxwell and D'Angelo release new music this year.

But if there are two artists who have earned my anticipation, when it comes to R&B/Soul, it's those two. Badu is boring.

Shit Maxwell's album(s) was suppose to had come out LAST VALENTINE'S DAY!!! Here it is around the corner, a year from now, and those bitches haven't released those damn albums yet. It really doesn't matter that he had a tour, WHERE'S THE FUCKIN ALBUMS????? I'm starting to lose hope, they probably won't get released until Sade releases another...and who the hell knows when that will be.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

He announced during the tour it would be out around Valentines' day, but I haven't seen it or heard anything. Maxwell is so talented- I do wonder though, if he will be able to make a successful comeback, or if that is really even what he wants. Maybe some of these artists just don't really want to regularly make music for the public?

I've been keeping up with D'Angelo news and this is what I got from those that know. He got his physical thing back in top notch shape and he's been recording since early 2008. It's all on the low and Clive Davis is working closely with him on getting his package together. He recently did an online Q&A with his core fans on what he's been up to and his plans - which is (for starters) to tour late spring and summer starting in Europe and back in the states. It will be a quick little promo tour to get his name flowing again before he drops his album. Billboard magazine did some updates on him within the last few months as well. I'm guessing that he'll come back either late 2009 or early 2010. The good news is...he's working.

Erykah has got a bulk of songs she recorded back to back with the concept of releasing them into 3 different albums and from my understanding - she's simply touching up the next record and prepping it for release this year.

Maxwell is most likely doing the same thing. That tour I'm sure gave him some new inspiration to add to what he's been working on. I think overall all 3 artists are going to drop right after one another in a good order and we'll be fortunate to witness it all...sorta how Michael, Prince, and Sade did the early 80's. They all rode that wave and revolutionized the sound of black music and music in general and i think that is what we're about to see later on this year.

It will be interesting to see if Maxwell or Dangelo return, if they still have their audience and/or are able to attract a new one.

What is the problem with these guys? The music has been made so just release it.The longer they leave it the smaller their audience becomes!
How lucky are we that Prince releases so much it`s almost 2 difficult 2 keep up.

Hold on 2 ur wigs!!
