Gospel Star In Assault Rap Court filing: "Irate" singer BeBe Winans pushed ex-wife to ground
MARCH 12--Gospel singer BeBe Winans was booked yesterday on a domestic assault rap for allegedly pushing his ex-wife to the ground during an argument last month. According to a court filing, a copy of which you'll find below, Winans, 46, and his former spouse got into a "verbal altercation" on February 13 about "custody issues dealing with their children." At the time, Winans was at his ex-wife Debra's Nashville home, where he had driven to pick up his children. "The victim was telling the defendant of issues with the children when he became irate. The defendant then pushed the victim to the ground." Winans, pictured in the mug shot at right, was arrested yesterday on a misdemeanor domestic assault charge. He was briefly held at the Davidson County jail before posting $1000 bond. Winans, best known for albums recorded with his sister CeCe, has won four Grammy awards.

Especially Be Be. I don't know why, but I always thought he was gay. I know being in the biz is hard, especially if you are trying to do the family thing, but there is no excuse for this type of behavior. He's Gay, I witnessed him trying to pick up guys in the gay part of philly, late night in the early 90's.
He checked into my hotel, and my co-worker who is a HUGE BeBe and Cece fan waited all day to see him check in. Bebe was rude and nasty to everyone and was acting like a pissed off drag-queen (very Rupaul). We were all shocked. My buddy gave me a ride home at the end of my shift at mid-night. We had to pick-up a dude that was gettin' off work at the Min-mart across from the Notorious gay club Woody's (yeah thats the name, really). My buddy pointed Bebe out standing there on the corner of 13th street with a baseball hat on and an old wrinkled white T-shirt that showed his gut off. I read an interview with him in Jet several years ago where he was doing a lot of gay bashing. And his nieces Angie and Debbie (I think) are also known for doing the same. I think it was when Luther was between record deals (going from Sony to Virgin). Luther even sang and arranged background vocals on BeBe's solo debut album.
