TORONTO - Legendary Canadian guitarist Randy Bachman says his next rock album will feature an appearance by fellow music icon Neil Young.

Bachman, who was announced Tuesday as the headliner for Toronto arts festival Luminato, said he was working on multiple projects, including a new record that would feature a track with Young.

He also said that Fred Turner, with whom Bachman founded Bachman-Turner Overdrive, would collaborate on the release.

Bachman will open the 10-day Luminato festival with a free outdoor performance at Toronto's Yonge-Dundas Square.

The festival will also feature a tribute to Young's 1971 concert at Massey Hall, which will take place at the venerable theatre on June 10 and feature Steven Page, Cowboy Junkies and Jason Collett of Broken Social Scene.
