Do you think if a woman behaves in an agressive and non-lady like manner she loses her privledge of being treated like a lady?

There is a growing problem of domestic violence where the man is the victim.

Chris Brown had every right to defend himself from her but judging from these pictures he took it WAY TOO FAR and he should be punished for that.

I don't give a shit if she smacked him. BE A MAN AND DON'T HIT BACK!

Does that apply to everyone or just men hitting women?

I posted this on the sticky thread.....I didn't find this to be that surprising. Did anyone think he just started punching her for asking him a question? I didn't. I figured she must have been in his face or hitting him. And when it said he bit her fingers, that was a dead giveaway that she must have been putting up a good fight. Plus, it didn't sound like either one wanted to leave that car...she was swinging away bloody-lipped and all.

Lol, I love how in that small paragraph, you manage to completely convince yourself that yes she DID start it. Unbelievable.

Yep, all of this is true in your mind now because you convinced yourself. Care to quote a source for any of this?

It doesn't change a whole lot, but it does provide a better context. She may feel a bit guilty for her part in all of this. And it sounds like she did not lie or distort anything. The latest info, including the accounts of their past fights, comes from what she told police. Yet, they still charged him so....Now it doesn't seem that surprising that she'd back up her statement by testifying. I doubt there will be a trial, but still...

Why would this seem odd?
Hasn't every discussion of this turned on the idea that a man cannot hit a woman for any reason?
I would think perpetuating that shibboleth would be applauded.
That's all that's being done. She can swing away but he can't touch her.

So it's okay now for a man to beat on Chris?

That's hypocritical and ugly.

Nope! He SHOULD be able to defend himself, just like he did "allegedly" against Rhianna! But...umm...if he is not as successful with that...which I do not think he will be...well...that'll just be his comeuppance!

Why do you think he can't defend himself against a man? Because he hit a woman?
How does that correlate?
Football players hit women too . . .

Even if she did him him first, there is no justification for what he did to her! NONE!

If he was a real man about his shit, he'd have pulled over, told her to get the fuck out of his car and went on to see his other woman and his dumb ass wouldn't be in this mess!

Damn, that's harsh.

But that's a fair assessment.

Not pretty. Not textbook. Not fairytale. But in a less than perfect world (which these young showbiz folks inhabit) that I agree with it. Call me crazy, but....I would rather the kid had been brutally rude and dismissive with her heart rather than brutally forceful with her face:-|

I'mstill tripping because i just don't remember young folks beating the hell out of eachother like this at 19 years old...the hellll hmm[/

My point exactly! rolleyes nod Especially if Rihanna is now stupid enough to go back to Chris only 2 weeks after he beat the living hell out of her. Yes, she did throw the first hit and Chris did defend himself. But he went too far.

End of.

Before we get all high and mighty over here, the police reports did state that she hit him first. NOT that is an excuse for him beating her up, but she did hit him. And also, this was not the first fist-fight they have gotten into. Both of them need to be locked up.

Almost a bit like a Romeo & Juliet sort of thing in it's destructive nature; except in this scenario you have a young couple willing to beat the crap out of each other first before they give society the middle finger for the sake of their love. Lord H'ammercy hammer

Not to diminish these kids as humans, but the subject seems to be bigger than the actual personalties themselves, though. The conversation has almost taken a p&r feeling to it because so many points of view about ethics is involved. I'm not surprised it's still a hot topic of discusssion on the board with us still going back and forth over it.

As for what you just pointed about whom hit whom, ect...I didn't even know all of that. I just get celeb tidbit info from you guys and then try to just join in the conversation lurking

If she's brandishing a weapon and threatening my life...yes.

Any other situation, either hold her hands at her sides, or just walk away.

The gifs are always the best part though!

You could always go over to Bboys thread with the little Phillipino boys performing Beyonce's "Single Ladies". That one had my jaw on the ground for the whole 4 minutes the video is posted. I saw that and thought....hmmm, okay maybe we are seeing a lil too much of Beyonce flooding the music market
