Wow....talk about a step back into time!!! SoulAlive....you might agree on this.... I had not heard this song in probably a good 10yrs or so....and as soon as I launched the player I said to myself...wait, this melody sounds very, very familiar....some other artist had a song that sounded similar... And then, because I know I have a fixation with EWF music, I wondered if it was one of their old tunes, and then it struck me... Listen to "Fall In Love With Me" from 1983's Powerlight, and tell me that ignoring the chorus parts of each song, that the melody of Mirror Mirror is very close to that of FILWM..... Compare..Maurice singing: I'm well inclined to use a line that comes from a learning tree...yeah, yeah With Diana singing: Chapter one, when I was young I came to you with my problems... Maybe it is me...but they sound very similar...maybe the passage of time has made it more noticeable..

yeah, now that you mentioned it....there is a similarity in those verses.

And of course the backing vocals and production on "Swept Away" by Daryl Hall, got to give him his due "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

I'm tempted to call 'Swept Away' her best 80s album, but then I have to consider her 1980 Chic-produced album, which is just excellent from beginning to end.
