Who remembers bubble gum music

Hey I was just watching "Walk on by" and they had an episode about pop muisc and bubblegum songs like the Monkeys and Sugar Sugar by the Archies, the video showed comic strip characters and a camp ass rabbit. The music was hilarious and very catchy, but it was tacky, when I heard these songs were megahits that sold millions I couldn't believe, does anyone remember of have heard of these groups.
The Archies
The Monkeys
The Banana Splits
1910 Fruitgum company (Simon Says)
Ohio Express
The Lemon Pipers
St Cecelia
Evolution Revolution (A group of psychedelic chimpanzees!!!!)

They are just hilarious
So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

I really like the Archies (and I'm a big fan of the comic characters as well). "Sugar, Sugar" is a great song, of course, but my favorite is "Bang Shang-a-lang":

I'm also a big fan of "Get on the Line":

My favorite Monkees song is definitely "Daydream Believer":

I have the Archies' album.
I used to run home from school to watch the Monkees' syndicated television program- loved their musical numbers. music
I didn't like the Banana Splits, tho. hmm
