Jeff Beck USA tour dates April '09 Jeff Beck tour tackles U.S. dates after Rock Hall induction
Legendary guitarist Jeff Beck will follow his April 4 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with a coast-to-coast tour. The 10-city trek kicks off April 6 at Scranton Cultural Center in Scranton, PA, and ends April 23 at Fox Theater in Oakland, CA. During his stateside run, Beck will perform a series of two night stands: April 9-10 at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza in New York, NY; April 16-17 at Park West in Chicago, IL; and April 21-22 at El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. Most public onsales for the tour began last weekend, February 13, but sales for the closing concert in Oakland don't begin until February 22 at 10 a.m. (PST). The English musician is supported by his backing band, composed of bassist Tal Wikenfeld, keyboardist Jason Rebello* and drummer Vinnie Colaiuta. Though previously inducted to the Rock Hall as a member of the Yardbirds, Beck will be honored this year for his solo work. Other 2009 inductees are heavy metal band Metallica, doo-wop group Little Anthony & The Imperials, hip-hop trailblazers Run-D.M.C., and R&B singer Bobby Womack. This is the first year that the induction ceremony is open to the public, with tickets priced from $35 to $75. Beck is currently on the tail end of a tour of the Asia-Pacific region, which included a run of Australia and New Zealand, as well as a series of dates in Japan. His next performances will be co-headlined by Eric Clapton on February 21-22 at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama-shi, Japan. *note David Sancious is replaced on keyboards after the Japanese tour ends Sunday Music Royalty in Motion | |

I was so hoping David Sancious would be on the U.S. leg of the tour. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn.
