I need a deluxe edition 4 the Marvin's 'I Want You' album! That's my record! I love that album! I've been playing it all week. I haven't heard it in a while and I just began playing it out of no where and been loving it. That was serious baby making music on that album. That some real love going on with that album. My favorite all-time Marvin Gaye cut is on that (I Want You) album: 'After The Dance'. The instrumental of that is sick! It's beautiful! 'Come Live With Me Angel', 'When We're Making Love', and 'I Want You'?! What?! I can't say no more. I'm 26 and I know that was true soul music right there.

...so go buy it! It's worth every penny. Full-length "I Wanna Be Where You Are"... "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Totally agree with the OP. The Deluxe Edition of "Let's Get It On" is THE BEST Deluxe treatment I've come across for any classic LP. Period. It sets a very, very VERY high bar. Some of the bonus tracks leave me completely, utterly speechless ALL OVER AGAIN at Marvin's genius, and I've been left speechless by the man's genius for 30+ years. To know that there was material the quality of "Where Are We Going" just sitting around in Motown's Vault gathering dust for thirty years - material that those fuckers didn't bother to put out on the hasty retrospective unreleased LP that came out around 1986 that had "The World Is Rated X" on it, is just completely mindblowing. How could they let this stuff rot like that for so long?? Oh well. I must say, however, I was rather disappointed with the Deluxe 2CD for "I Want You" which is, for me, Marvin's finest work. To be fair, it is IMPOSSIBLE to improve upon "I Want You" in any way, shape form or fashion, which I don't believe can be said for "Let's Get It On."

I Want You is my favorite Marvin album, but I love the deluxe edition. I mentioned the uncut "I Wanna Be Where You Are" (my one complaint with the original album is that this song is way too short). The "Vocal & Rhythm" version of "I Want You" is also worth hearing IMO. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

The whole concept of "remasters/re-issues" mean nothing to Prince I came up with a idea tracklisting for an expanded edition of Sign o' The Times "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."
