Awesome song, I'm at work, so I can't see the link, but this song is splendid. I love how Barry took his time with his music, it never feels rushed, the intro alone is worth praising. I'm still missing Barry, and the album that never materialized after his death. R.I.P. to the Maestro. Lady Cab Driver is one of the greatest songs ever!

It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Many of his songs have amazing intros. I'm still missing Barry, and the album that never materialized after his death. R.I.P. to the Maestro.
Was he working on a new album before his death?

Was he working on a new album before his death? supposedly, Yes. it was supposed to be released in the fall of 2003 via the rumor mill, so either it was a lie, or they simply didn't have enough material to make it work, I don't know. Lady Cab Driver is one of the greatest songs ever!

What a clumsy re-edit, and I could do without the additional drums. Why show a picture of the 12" when it's a bastardised re-edit? Aimed at the person hosting it on YouTube, by the way

I like to thank Mary J. Blige for first introducing me to this tune in 1994 when I was 10 and heard it on "You Bring Me Joy". It wasn't maybe a week or two later that I heard the original by Barry White and was like "wow, I love this version!"
