They don't need her to testify or press charges anyway. The D.A. got the case today and the hearing is tomorrow. There are rumors of some type of deal.
Regardless of whether the "reconciliation" and marriage stories are true or not, I think he's just using her. There were reports that she was possessive of him and he wanted out of the relationship prior to the assault. And he seems way more ambitious and career-oriented than her. I posted a clip on another thread where he was asked when they would marry and he flatly said "never...." He said he's too young for all that and is having fun. He just didn't seem all that into her. I can actually see him wanting to get far away after all the legal stuff is cleared. He'll say he needs to "work on his issues." But right now he needs her. She squandered a lot of goodwill by taking him back or appearing to take him back, but I think she will have the easier time moving on with her career. She was in need of a new phase anyway, as changing hairstyles and nail polish colors can only last for so long. I could see her coming back as someone that has done some hard living and is more "reflective". Her songs could focus more on her learning to love herself and gain self esteem etc. I think a lot of people could relate to that and give her a chance if she's honest with her issues. But now if these two really did marry and are expecting and all that...yikes. I shudder to think. What will happen if/when he sees that her forgiveness means nothing to the public and his career still falters? Who will he take his frustrations out on?
