Miley Cyrus vows to ruin "rude, stinky" Radiohead

http://stereogum.com/arch...56681.html

Kanye West wasn't the only singer Radiohead allegedly dissed at the Grammys. Teen pop star Miley Cyrus was so devastated that her fellow Grammy performers wouldn't chill with her backstage, she left the ceremony early! So she promises to "ruin" them. This latest drama was revealed on the Johnjay & Rich radio show on Tuesday. Here's what happened.

There's a band Miley Cyrus would be "freaking out, crying, on my knees" if she met, she tells the DJs. (I think we can relate to that much, Thom Yorke is dreamy.) She goes on to say she asked her manager to pull every string so she could just meet her heroes. Radiohead's response? "We don't really do that kind of thing." It's difficult to be sure, because Miley speaks really fast and doesn't enunciate, but it sounds like Radiohead rebuffed her to her face. Which means I can see why she'd be upset (though you'd think this #1 superfan would know that Thom Yorke is a little shy?), but she doesn't have to go on the radio and play a ten-minute game having everyone guess who dissed her.

Other highlights if you listen to the whole thing: Miley heard a crazy rumor that Kings of Leon are preacher's sons. CRAZY. And, in response to the host's guess the offending artist was Boyz II Men? "I don't listen to rap." At the very end, she sings a line of "Creep" to the RADIO DJ who claims to not know who Radiohead is. Audio below, via The Modern Age.

Jeez this girl is more irritating when she's not singing, and i didnt think that was possible having been exposed to some of the stinking turds she's put out. Would someone please just send her away.

who is she? for real, who is she? i've heard her name before but i don't
know anything about her.

from the sound of this i don't think i'm missing much tho. she sounds so
fucking irritating. like this horrible non stop talker that hangs out at
parties you go to when you're a teenager.

the kind that always forces her way into a conversation and and up doing
her damned best to lasso the spotlight back onto her every damn time.

if all else fails she will cut herself in the bathroom for attention.

that's the kind of vibe i get from this chick.

all these half witted imbicils who made 1 cool song need to step the fuck
back and stop crying over not being treated like thom yorke's biggest ever
idol when they get a chance to get close enough to grope him.

there's so many fuckers i don't want to talk to or don't want to talk to
me when i go out. i try to be nice but sometimes you just have an off
night and you snub an irritating bitch or two.
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

She's a Disney channel pop star. Her dad is Billy Ray Cyrus. Her TV show is called Hannah Montana.

Well...obviously...she's 16.

Uh..wow..that's...kinda creepy of you. I didn't know you could tell this just from an interview. She was being repeatedly asked the same question and didn't want to answer...she was trying to avoid it by talking about other stuff... confused

We should admit that she was hardly born when they were hip. She was three.

BUT

that doesn't mean she should not know which kinda music they do.

She's obviously living in her own world which seems to be quite ignorant and pretentious.

Also she really seems to think she's a rock star but I'm sure her child fans don't care about her music at all, it's just the idea of being like Miley or Hannah.
Outside the Disney-world nobody knows her anyway.

And here's this to boot - I don't care for either of them. And that says what?

In what CAVE is that radio guy living in ? I would think that music radio personalities, even on pop radio, should know one of the biggest bands in the world, I mean it's their JOB to be hip to the latest "big" bands and artists... and Radiohead have been around for over 15 years and have had considerable success during the whole time... maybe they're not as successful in the US but nonetheless they surely aren't obscure.
And regarding Miley, I don't blame the guys in Radiohead for not wanting to meet that spoiled brat. And how is she going to "ruin" them? lol

exactly. she has no way for ruin them. It's not that she could tell her fans not to buy Radiohead, since her fans are children and certainly don't buy Radiohead anyway.

Radiohead has a much larger audience than Miley could ever dream of. She has a 5 min career, so far Radiohead have lasted nearly 20 years.

Ugh, I am sooo sick of Miley Cyrus, I could spit. Wish she would fade away into obscurity, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
