Last.fm vs. Lala.com

So I just signed up at Lala.com, and I must say, its very nice! biggrin I've been a member of Last.fm for a little over a year now, and I love it, but it looks like Lala could give it some real competition as well. However, if I had to choose which one I like better right now, it would be Last.fm, only because I've been there longer and and more used to how it works. I love how they've got just about every different kind of music from all kinds of artists from all over the world. I like how you can interact with people from different countries and that they give you recommendations based on what your music tastes are, the "Neighborhood" feature, all the different radio stations there, plus their scrobbling tracks tool.

I'm really new to Lala, so I'm not as familiar with them yet. But I like how you can listen to whole tracks (instead of a crappy 30 sec. clip) before deciding if you wanna buy it or not.

Anybody here signed up with Last.fm or Lala? Which one is better in your opinion? smile

I have used Last.fm in the past but now use another music website called We7. You can listen to full albums for free & legally and they have a vast amount of music on there (both current and old school). It's ad-supported, so a few seconds ad is played before each song, but it's still very good and the music is streamed at a high quality. If anyone would like an invite to the website, send me an orgnote with an e-mail address, so you'll get sent a link to sign up and then when you join, there's an option to recommend new people too, so you'll get free credits to buy music from the website!.

Hmmm, maybe I'll check that one out too---so many music sites out there now, too many for me to keep up with lol!

Last.fm vs. Lala.com?

IIRC, isn't Last.fm a place for scrobbing what you're listening to and setting up radio stations and playlists and whatnot, while Lala.com allows you to trade CDs? shrug

At least Lala was when I first signed up (about two years ago).
• Did you first think Prince was gay? •

Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.
