Still listen to this song all of the time too--like running to it. I saw him in concert about three years ago and he was really good and I'm trying to make up my mind if I want to see him next friday or not...

Always been my fave from Kenny. I also love Millie Jackson's version, too!

Yeah, Millie's spin on the song is soo good.

Do you guys like the way Kirk Franklin sampled the song?

I really can't stand Kirk Frnaklin's version. I guess the inspirational aspect is nice but I really wish some songs were just left as they are. I also dislike the another classic song he recently used.

Didn't MJ sing a song with kenny on this album? Was this the inspiration for his o2-concerts-name?

I don't know if he did but I honestly don't think him naming his tour that is the reason, lol.

Anyways I love this song (the original that is).

Timmy84, I belive Mj did a duet with Kenny on this album called: Ging Back To Alabama
or someting like that. It's a strange choice for MJ, I find the song boring too country-rock for me.

Oh OK, I may have heard about it but it escaped me... I forget I used to check a site that had MJ's listing of duets or background work he did on other acts in the '80s.

I forget the name of the song but I love that ballad he did totally in falsetto. I favorited it a minute... if I can find the video, I'd post it. Lonny should do more soulful material. biggrin

Unless "Love Will Follow" WAS the name of the song... lol

Oh God! I LOVEDDDDD this song, along with the Caddyshack theme song.

In the 90's he had a couple great songs: "Conviction of the Heart" and "The Real Thing"

Love Will Follow was the duet with Shanice on the Live album. On the original (Vox Humana) he sang it alone. It has a dreamy quality to it and falsetto vocals as you mentioned.

The song that MJ sang background vocals on was called, "Who's Right, Who's Wrong". It's on this album.
