I didn't count it as an album choice because it's not a new studio album, but I think most of us can agree that One Night Alone Live is the coolest thing we got on disk this year (or will get this year for that matter).

Has to David Bowie "Heathen". Other than that, I found the albums I bought this year disappointing (Cee-Lo, Elvis Costello, Jay-Z, etc), other than White Stripes and Kylie Minogue, but their albums came out in 2001 officially. Some really good overdue hits sets this year from Elvis, the Stones, Anita Baker and Bowie.

Ok what is everyones album of the year?!

It would be Trent Reznor and guests' "Tapeworm", but that one is still not released so it's definitely, without a doubt, Bowie's "Heathen"...

Close second and third:

Meshell Ndegeocello's "Cookie:The Anthroplogical Mixtape"
Queens Of The Stone Age's "Songs For The Deaf"

Still haven't heard Beck's new one yet... I guess that one would rank high up there...

Neversin.

...And of course the best live album this year is Nine inch Nails' "And All That Could Have Been"...

I'd have to go with Lewis Taylor's 'stoned pt.1', i have to say.
What did you think about it, Drezone?

ONA studio doesn't get many repeat listenings. Love the first 4 songs and Avalanche though...
