Swa said: 50 shows - will he won't he?
There seems to be a lot of neysayers out there who want to think he can't do it. That MJ is past his prime. They said he didn't have the fan base to sell out 10 shows. And now he has sold out 50. For me I have my eyes open on this one. I am "cautiously optimistic" that MJ will deliver the goods. I have seen his shows since the Bad tour, and each time was blown away. Does he still have it? Will he still have it for show 20, show 40? There is a lot of speculation, and to be honest no one knows until opening night. I just hope, and it may be foolish, people give him a fair chance. As we have seen time and time again with many artists, people love to build them up just to cut them back to size. It may be a no win situation in all honesty. If he does a brilliant job there will still be those who say it isn't enough. At the end of the day the only person to prove them wrong is Michael. It's make or break time in his career. I trust he can use this to rise to the occasion and deliver a wonderful show. Swa [Edited 3/13/09 16:56pm] For alot of fans, they don't care if he lip synchs. They just want to see him on stage and put on a great show I mentioned this to SoulAlive that although I'm not a fan of Madge, I appreciate the work she puts into her shows. Yeah, she may not always sing live but she can put one hell of a show together "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Yes I got tickets for two shows - one through presale (average wait time was 1 hour) and through the general release (wait time was 2 hours, but did include a drop out when the site crashed about half hour into it). Swa I dont get why ticketmaster still says search for tix on each listing instead of currently not avavilable or even why they have it listed still if its sold out, it drives me nuts searching through all the dates trying to find at least one that lets you search for a ticket. I havent even been able to search for tix they just all say not avavilable when you click through from the main date list. walk with crooked shoes www.myspace/syblepurplelishous

So I was thinking - with the O2 shows going into rehearsals soon what would you like to hear? I've created a setlist I think would be a crowd pleaser, even though I would love to hear songs I love like Money, Tabloid Junkie etc if its going to be a greatest hits set this is what I thought would be generally pleasing.
Here is my Setlist (restricted to 20 songs) 1. Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' 2. Can You Feel It 3. Human Nature 4. Smooth Criminal 5. Remember the Time 6. J5 Medley - I want you back / ABC / I'll be there - stopped and replaced with Who's Loving You 7. Don't Stop Til You Get Enough 8. Butterflies 9. The Way you Make Me Feel 10. Stranger in Moscow 11. Thriller 12. Billie Jean 13. You Rock My World 14. Who is it 15. Beat It 16. Black or White ----- 17. Scream 18. Bad 19. Whatever Happens 20. Man in the Mirror What would yours be? Swa "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"

Michael Jackson Heal the World Press Conference Romania, 1992 I'm still trying to figure out what it is that makes him look so much different now than from this. You can still see in this clip that under the extremely long hair and truckload of makeup he has a beautiful face. It's not the skin colour or nose because his skin looks flawless and his nose is still miniture but it doesnt look unnatural. Now both his skin and nose looks weird but they dont seem to have changed. I really cant figure it out. Maybe it really is just the hairstyle and the way he gets his make up done, both are now atrocious rather than just a bit excessive like it used to be.

This was 17 years ago and he was younger that time too. Also, there was not much stress in his life compared to what he has went through in recent years- with all the money problems, allegations stuff. Clearly looks like a man who's at peace with his mind. I think the man's stress in his personal life has taken a toll on the way he looks- thats just my guess. I think he's also a bit too skinny from the face now days as well, that might also make him a little different. [Edited 3/14/09 12:42pm] [Edited 3/14/09 12:43pm]
