From his official website: " IT IS NOW I SEE AND FEEL THAT CALLING ONCE AGAIN, TO BE PART OF A MUSIC THAT WILL NOT JUST CONNECT BUT, MAKE ALL FEEL ONE, ONE IN JOY, ONE IN PAIN, ONE IN LOVE, ONE IN SERVICE AND IN CONCIOUSNESS " Michael Jackson http://www.michaeljackson.com the more i hear of him lately the more i'm kind of sickened. he talks and acts like hes some kind of god. that video at the start of the "conference'...wtf. me and my lady were watching in horror. absolutely sickening. the man is an egomaniac. this was the peak of it (for i dont know how much longer), the brit awards 95....lordy lordy. Michael uses his star status constructively to bring about a message concerning higher awareness towards humanities conciousness its egomaniac now? Just because Michael Jackson can connect with the universe and express his god like inner spirit on a higher level don't hate him because you forgot how to tune in to "Gods" energy. We are connected to God, we are one with god, we have given gifts of god like qualities or..... did you not wake up to who you really are? Did we forget our inner god-self? which is one with all creation and our creator in the cosmos? Time to start being more open hearted and learn how to love others unconditional, time to change our way of thinking and start acting NOW! Your thoughts create your reality, it is magic manifesting to reality and it is your choice if you choose to be positive or negative. Ok, Iam gonna completely baffle alot of Mj fans here (I dont do the boards, so iam not a zealot believe me), but I really like a couple of the songs ALL the fans of critics hate.
"Childhood" "lost children" Cringe-worthy springs to mind for most people, partically the latter. I blast these suckers and dont give a fuck LOL. Its not like I hear them often, but I do love them. Michael has always been theatrical, and always loved sappy shit (like myself), and loves Striesand (like myself) and it musta annoyed him abit when she turned down "I just cant stop loving you" which seemed tailor made for her. "Childhood" is straight Babs. Even the phrasing is Babs. Produced with David Foster, its little surprise it could pass off as her, as he has produced for Babs aswell. Funny how the song goes straight in, making it even more of a stage song and less of a pop song. Its self pitying to the extreme, and egotastic aswell. But thats what I love about Mike, the ballsiness to write songs he truly loves and in this case I do too. It does sound like "goon too soon" aswell, which he didn't write, but thats OK. I love it and he should be encouraged to do more egocentric stuff like this. Foster brought out the best in Mike on HIStory, and its a shame he hasn't used him since.... ....talking of Michaels Lloyd Webber side, I also love "elizabeth, I love you". Much more from a musical standpoint then a lyrical one LOL (though it is catchy). Mike should really write a musical (not based on his life). Not sure if he wrote this alone, but it must at least be a co-write. "Lost children". Now to be fair, even I see "you are my life" as awful, but I really like, and again admire "the lost children". He should do less commerical stuff like this. Hard to desribe what genre the songs fits in, but thats to Mikes credit as its nice to see he doesn't always go for the commerical when writing and recording a song. I really like the middle 8 aswell. I dont like the outro, but I can get past that. I've said this before, but its almost some new agey prog stuff ala Jon Anderson.... ..Very unlike anything he has done musically. Lyrically its all too Michael though, but again, I can see through that, and its intension is nice and sincere enough. Sounds 100's of years old, which goes back to my prog/ new age comment. One of the few bright spots on "invincible".

Of course, it was not Tito but Toto's Steve Lukather

bboy and Timmy, Iam glad you both dig "childhood", I always assumed I was the only one Not quite sure why Sony and Michael paired it up with "scream" though as the first single? Maybe it was the "free Willy 2" tie in? Talking of odd ideas around the HIStory period, Sony USA really fucked up not releasing "Earth song". Iam not even a big fan of the song, but damn, it was fucking huge at the time. Didn't Sony USA do some promo remixes of "This time around" radio only singles instead? Idiots.True, US pop at the time was minimal chart wise, but it was worth a gamble with its lavish video and all. Can't get into "this time around". Its kinda average. "Smile" could of been big in the UK. Radio 2 woulda been all over that one. Not a huge fan of it, but his vocals are killer, thanks in part to David Foster again.
