Why is Baldwin Hills segregated?

I guess the same way White neighborhoods and Latino neighborhoods are "segregated". By choice of those that move there.

what about the classic B.E.T. commercials 4 the gospel compliations like "I'm Comin Up.... On The Rough Side of the mountian...." or WHO IN THE HELL LEFT THE GATE OPEN?! The coolest thing about Donnie, was that every week on Video Soul when he'd step out of the elevator he'd have a different color suit on.....
LOL!! Those commercials stay ingrained in my psyche. Another one I remember is "hey, y'all, I got a new album in the mail today...."
lol

I love the ending when he says... "This is a fantastic album man, Lemme borrow it..." "Oh no my brother you've got to find your own." The guy in the commercial with the S-Curl, was John Canada Terrell a.k.a. Greer Childs (She's Gotta Have It). I know u gotta know about the jingles like B.E.T.... We're Lookin Out Fooor (da dat da dat daaaa) YOOOU!!!! (1988-89) or We're Givin You a Choooice.... Hooold on To B.E.T. (1990-92)

All these memories are enough to make me cry. Video Vibrations, in particular, used to go 'outside the box' with some of their selections.

It's sad that BET, VH1 and MTV are all pretty much the same station now.

But I'm sure that is cheaper for Viacom!

Remember BET use to also play rare shows like "Baby, I'm Back" with Denise Nichols, Demond Wilson and Kim Fields along with "The New Odd Couple," "Sanford" and the show where Flip Wilson and Gladys Knight were married and, I believe, Jaleel White(Steve Urkel) played their son? Anybody, remember the name of that show? Thinking about how BET has changed brings tears to my eyes.

Damn, that just reminded me of when my pops and older brother got into an argument and my brother basically said "fuck you", got on his bike and left, so my dad got on another bike and just when he was about to peddle off, his ass fell off falloff
