I remember the version with the fiddle played often when I was young but ever since 2000 or something, it's the "hip-hop" version, the one where the drums and piano take over the bridge that is played now.

sort of a side note, but (the movie) belly used to be my shit! the acting is tremendously awful, but it was shot so awesomely, by hype williams, one of the greatest video directors ever. part of why i liked it so much, kind of a long ass rap music video, with your favorite rappers and such "acting" lol. hood classic! lol the intro was my favorite part. all slow motion (like a video lol), with the flashing lights and all and when the beat eventually kicks in dancing jig headbang. yeah mushy
life's a bitch, but god forbid the bitch divorce me...

I agree, the intro was the best part of the movie. lol Though I did like the ending with DMX and the preacher successfully pleading to him to drop the gun, lol.
