I can NOT listen to Stevie Wonder without tearing up...

I've been downloading Stevie's songs and listening to them like crazy. The past couple of weeks I've had dreams with his songs playing in them. I had one recently where I was with my mom, who I haven't seen in a few years since I moved out here, and "Send one your love" was playing on this radio and in the dream, I started cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry like crazy! Then she started crying, and then I woke up. Now I can't listen to the song with out my eyes getting wet. Curse you Stevland Hardaway Judkins!!!!

What Stevie song(s) make your face wet?

These songs:
"You & I"
"Blame It on the Sun"
"I Never Dreamed You Leave in Summer"
"Too Shy to Say"
"All in Love is Fair"
"Lately"
"Overjoyed"

...usually it's tears of happiness and sadness... Stevie had the voice (so did Donny and Marvin) to make tears fall out...

wow, i hate to think about but as no one is immortal, Stevie is definitely an artist i'd weep over after his passing. tear-inducers for me are:

Lately
You and I
Heaven is a Zillion Light Years Away
Happy Birthday Song (listen to the lyrics)
Overjoyed

I forgot about Heaven is a Zillion Light Years Away. I always feel I'm at a sermon when I hear that song especially when the chorus comes in.

I love all of stevie's 70's stuff, including my favorite album "SITKOL". My favorite track by him is called "Flower Power", from "Journey to the secret life of plants', CD. Love this track and his use of minor chords. Beautiful song!!

This is the MOST moving song by Stevie is I Believe (When I Fall in Love It Will Be Forever).

It was a tribute to Syreeta when they divorced.

Equally moving: "Looking for Another Pure Love". Both songs were dedicated to Syreeta, I believe.

In my opinion, it should be required listening in EVERY music appreciation class...This, and of course, Sign O' The Times....

Overjoyed, Lately, Ribbon in the Sky, Redemption Song, have all brought me to tears at one time or another. I cried when he did Lately on stage... that was incredible.

Stevie killed it in the 70's. The 80's? Not so much. I have a DVD of a concert from the mid-70's and man does it rock.

There's a deep groove on my In Square Circle album where Overjoyed is. That song, along with These Three Words and Never Dreamed You'd Leave In Summer, are three of my all-time favorite slow jams of his.

Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

That makes me tear up too.

But so do songs like: Rocket Love & All I do (especially Tammi Terrell's version).
I know they are not really tearful songs but they just do something to me.

I much prefer his 70's material than the 80's and 90's stuff that he put out. IMO, his later material became too weird.
