Yeah T84 martha got down on that song. I have my mom's 45 of that record
til this day and it plays well. I'm gonna preserve the history of that record. I'm gonna be shopping next to soul one day and get some diana & supremes music. I'm gonna definitely get that Reflections album. I remember i used to listen to my mom play it while her and her friends played cards as a little boy. She also has the love child album which is good too. She has another one too and i can't remember the title. Those albums are probably not in good playing condition but i will probably grab them and see if i can clean them up and just preserve them for history's sake. Reflections is a fine album. Don't laugh at my funk

I heard some tracks on streaming sites and couldn't believe how great they sounded. I think the entire Motown Sound was incredible on everyone they recorded!

Lots of Michael Jackson/Jackson 5 songs, but I'm not sure half the time whether their originals or remakes [Edited 2/28/09 15:28pm] A MAJORITY of the Jackson 5/early MJ/Jermaine and Jackie solo recordings that came out had nothing BUT covers. Only a handful were originals, lol. Of the 18 hits they had in Motown, I think about two of which were covers ("Doctor My Eyes" in England and "Forever Came Today" in the US. I count the J5's "Don't Let Your Baby" and "All I Do Is Think of You" and MJ's "Take Me Back" and "We're Almost There" as the underrated joints in the Jackson canon. 'Honey Love' too. My god, that song, the layers, it's a thing of beauty. My choice for today is 'Keep On Running' by Stevie. Don't hear it talked about much, possibly one of the top5 funkiest songs of all time. Jay Kay has been trying to remake it all his career!

One that was never even released until a couple years ago on one of the Hip-O "Complete Singles" boxes:
The Mynah Birds - It's My Time Toronto band starring Rick James & Neil Young!! Recorded in early '68 right before Neil moved to LA and started Buffalo SPringfield w/Steve Stills. Must have been one helluva band! Some more of the sessions have been bootlegged and are even better.
