Yes sir, Keni Burke is a bad brotha on bass too. After leaving the band(s) he did his solo thang for a while, I know you know this track.

That's my steppin song! Not only is Mr. Burke a bad bass player, he has some serious chops on guitar too.

Many have mistakenly thought the bass line from the 1983 song "All Night Long" by the Mary Jane Girls is the one rappers/hip hop artist sampled... but it was "Risin' To The Top".

Yep, both from Chi-town. Five Staorsteps recorded for both Windy-C and Curtom labels. The Impressions recorded a version of this track first, I belie.
