well duh! i don't know why people expected Rhianna to set an example for abusive women all around the world. she went back to him....what does that mean for me? bored i could really care less. if he is really beating on her ass on a daily basis or if that was a "first time incident" then thats her stupidity. neither of them pay my bills. i'm still baffled at the fact that they are still making headlines where there are plenty of women going through the same situation everywhere...but just because they are celebs, we have to hear this shit everyday? the media is a fuckin' leach. they pick on who they want to pick on.
I don't expect her to set an example and I feel the same way about her as any woman that's being beat up. You go back, you are stupid.

What we do know is that he BEAT her up! Regardless of the reason why, the fact remains that he did and according to some in their inner circle, that wasn't the first time. So her going back to him, when she KNOWS better than we do what he is capable of...yeah that makes her stupid! For the simple fact that now that all this has been made public, should something like this jump off again, she's going to get very little sympathy because she went back to him.

I've seen many abusive relationships in my day and that is usually how it goes. They could be the exception to the rule and for both of their sakes, I really do hope that they are but right now I'm just not seeing that!

Did you see the other thread?!
IT doesn't matter if she goes back to him. She is a smaller, defenseless woman.
She has a free pass to do whatever she wants. He HAS to walk away or be thrown under the jail. So why wouldn't she go back to him? He can't do anything. All she has to do is SAY he hit her and everyone will believe it.
He should leave because she's not going to get nicer as she gets older.

confuse What the hell are you talking about?
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I doubt she actually "went back" to him. We're thinking of the issue on the level of the average person. I believe she "went back to him" for cash, and that her, her people, and family were paid off. In a few months, they'll likely suddenly part amicably... A thin attempt to salve Chris' career....

its funny you say that. you need to eat your words. people are so easily turned. This witch hunt you was so consumed in was so fucking pathetic. the ones siding with her at first haste are the ones now calling her a dumb bitch. how does it feel to have the tide of public opinion turn against you? what do you say now? oh wait maybe she should have been more strong enough or smarter enough? But i guess the world loves to tear women apart so thats justified.

Witch hunt? WTF?

I'm not calling her anything or presuming anything I'm WAITING UNTIL PICTURES SURFACE BEFORE I BELIEVE THEY'RE BACK TOGETHER.

What's so fucking hard to understand?

Can anyone say dumb hunchback/stoop bad posture Chris Brown and dumber big alien forehead Rihanna.
They deserve each other, she of 21 and he of 19.5 years of age - hopefully next time he will follow through on his threat and off her , so that way this story will run its course and we can all move on. Okay, back to the recession and things that matter...

I'm saddened by this. Wish and hoped she had the strength to walk away. I understand some of the reasons why people don't. I did it myself. I hope she can find the strength in herself to walk away. The message this sends to young men and women is horrifying.

This is deep. I'm not going to judge anyone in this situation. I just hope that for Rihanna's sake, she'll be careful when dealing with Chris if this is what she chooses to do. The saga isn't over. Chris's case goes to the courts on Thursday so we will probably know more as to what's going on with the 2. One thing is for sure, they both are in need of this: pray

[snipped. - anx] people that sided with rihanna on this issue have egg on their face if the rumours are to be believed. and yet you and others continued to defend and cushion rihanna, while everything was still up in the air and investigations pending, for not playing a part in the proceedings, while myself and Blaque and a small group of others were continually trying to open up your eyes to see the bigger picture, the bigger reality and yet you are dismissive because you believed this cruxification of the accused was warranted and just and simple? I mean how many fucking times do I have to say this. I have consistently said from the start that this trial by media everyone was so emotionally invested in was too premature and cautioned those set on male-bashing and ridicule without rational thought yet you and numerous members on here continued to act as judge, jury and executioner, throwing around bogus one liners and getting all emotional all in the face of uncertainty . And now that things have done a complete 360, are you going to swallow your own pride and admit that your attempts at discrediting rational thought were wrong? I mean I don't really get your agenda. We essentially agree on the major details and yet you nitpick and make reverse judgments which makes me think whether you actually agree with what you are preaching or whether you are just grappling at straws.

my cause? My cause has never been about a future reconcialition. You chose those words yourself to try to claim some sort of victory. my cause had always been to call people out on their bullshit and make them think and make them recognise that this trial by media was flawed, had too many gray areas and capable of interpretation from numerous vantage points. Instead of acting like a bunch of females, try thinking for once. I will say it again - its funny when women bound in solidarity whenever a girl gets beaten and yet on given day, backstab and gossip like there’s no tomorrow.

And as for the issue of domestic violence in your last post in the other thread, you still harbour an ignorance and a resentment on the topic. and this next sorry chapter in this saga adds insult to injury. I have never said he was innocent, quit trying to put words in my mouth. What I have said and will continue to say is that Rihanna bore partial responsibility and blame for what happened, and thats coming at this case with both a clear and emotion free mind.

Well, since this is one of many very important issues in this world I think it's good that it's being debated and awful to say it's a thing that doesn't really matter. It does matter and that has nothing to do with them being celebrities.

What are the rumors? That she struck first? If so, it doesn't justify him beating her up. If Rhianna struck first, Chris Brown stopped being a victim of abuse the second he became an abuser. She shouldn't be putting her hands on him, I agree, however you and the other excuse makers need to stop portraying it as self defense. It's the equivalent of using tanks and machine guns against rock throwing teens. No matter if she started it does he have the right to beat the shit out of her. At that point it's not about self defense but the irrational protection of masculinity, much like you're continuing to do.

and yet you and others continued to defend and cushion rihanna, while everything was still up in the air and investigations pending, for not playing a part in the proceedings, while myself and Blaque and a small group of others were continually trying to open up your eyes to see the bigger picture, the bigger reality and yet you are dismissive because you believed this cruxification of the accused was warranted and just and simple? What is the 360? That she went back to him? That doesn't prove he's in the right and neither does the fact that charges aren't being pressed. The system fails people every damn day.

my cause? My cause has never been about a future reconcialition. You chose those words yourself to try to claim some sort of victory. my cause had always been to call people out on their bullshit and make them think and make them recognise that this trial by media was flawed, had too many gray areas and capable of interpretation from numerous vantage points. Just because a woman will gossip and backstab does not make it wrong for women in general to stand up for another woman. Your need to justify is amazing.

And as for the issue of domestic violence in your last post in the other thread, you still harbour an ignorance and a resentment on the topic. and this next sorry chapter in this saga adds insult to injury. Can you please provide me proof that Rihanna is responsible for what happened? I ask that sincerely as I've not seen any backup besides your insistent that the woman be discounted and dismissed.

Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

The pair have reunited almost three weeks after Brown, 19, allegedly battered the "Umbrella" singer on Feb. 8, a source tells PEOPLE.

"They're together again. They care for each other," says the source. The on-again couple are currently spending time together at one of Sean "Diddy" Combs's homes, on Miami Beach's Star Island.

Adds the source: "While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves."

Paparazzi seek proof of Chris Brown-Rihanna reunion
By Alex Dobuzinskis

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Celebrity photographers are jostling for proof of the apparent reconciliation of singer Chris Brown and Rihanna, whose stormy relationship has fascinated and stunned fans and feminists.

Photo agencies said on Monday that the first picture of the couple together again, three weeks after Brown's alleged assault on his girlfriend, would fetch at least $100,000.

Francois Navarre, owner of photo agency X17, said a shot of the "Umbrella" singer and her 19 year-old boyfriend is one of the most sought after in the celebrity news world -- right behind an elusive, idyllic family photo of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie with their six children.

People and Us Weekly have reported that Brown, whose hits include "Run It!" and "Kiss Kiss", and Barbados-born Rihanna, 21, spent the past weekend in Miami. E! Online reported that paparazzi in helicopters buzzed over the private estate where they were reported to be staying, trying to get photos.

"Dysfunction sells, crazy sells and the more people's relationships seems to be out of whack, everyone is just fascinated to watch them to see how it unravels," said Elayne Rapping, a professor and pop culture expert with University at Buffalo of the State University of New York.

Los Angeles prosecutors have yet to decide whether to formally charge Brown over the February 8 incident, which forced both stars to cancel their Grammy appearances the next day.

California law allows prosecutors to charge an individual with domestic violence, even if the couple reunites.

Celebrity Web site TMZ.com on Monday posted grainy video it said showed Rihanna and the clean-cut Brown exiting a jet separately in Los Angeles the night before.
"If somebody who has a squeaky clean image suddenly appears not to be so squeaky clean, I think that in many ways is a disturbing sense of, 'Aha gotcha, see you're just as bad as anyone else,'" Rapping said.

"We like to see them rise and then we like to see them come down," she said.

Psychiatrist Dr.Carole Lieberman, author of the book "Bad Boys," said the many comments posted on Web sites in support of Brown point to a larger trend.

"It reflects the growing war between the sexes, where men are feeling emasculated by increasingly powerful women and are more often resorting to abuse," Lieberman said.

In the meantime, photographic proof of the couple's reunion remains to be shot by an army of eager paparazzi.

But even photo agency prices are down in the poor economy.

"The same crisis as there is in the stock market we have in the photo market," Navarre said.

An interesting clip of CB talking about how he and Rihanna never fight (after DJ Clue insists that Rihanna must be hot-tempered 'cause she's an "island girl" and he's from the islands as well). Clue even says, "I don't want to see you two in the press...with the pics and all that.... " Chris just smiled and said he knows how to do the right thing and walk away. biggrin Starts at 5:00: http://www.youtube.com/wa...vvO9_SzPrg

There were pics of the two in L.A. today, but they were snapped separately. Chris was walking normally while Rihanna had her head covered in all the pics. Wonder what that's about? Why the hiding like she's embarrassed? She could just stay in Barbados or Mexico if she didn't want to be snapped.

It's such an odd set of circumstances. I'm still inclined to think she's trying to help out his image and upcoming hearing this week. She is obviously aware that she looks like a fool or is embarrassed in some way.
