i was in 9th grade. my teacher asked me to bring in INVINCIBLE to listen to while we were having class. ( i dont remember what the hell we were doing, or NOT doing, to listen the whole cd during class, lol) anyway. ig ot so exited about listening to michael during class, i totally forgot that not every song is catered to that.....particular audience ( a pretty much 99.7% black school in atlanta ) so the class was pretty much into it, nobody said nothing stupid...even during break of dawn....we was listenig to mike talk about fuckin and nobody said anything rock with you heaven can wait, butterflies ( EVERBODY FUCKIN LOVED BUTTERFLIES ) Then Speechless came on..... everybody was dead quiet it was just too corny, im sorry. especially when the "choir" came in.....it made my teeth hurt. luckily we were leaving during Privacy...but yeah....it was corny. it threw the whole album off You've gotta give it to him. When he sings love songs, he leaves a lot to the imagination, unlike some of todays singers and rappers.

It's cheesy, sure, but I think it works on a level that "Childhood," "The Lost Children," and songs like that don't. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Well yeah, it's marginally better than both Childhood and The Lost Children, I'll give you that.

For All Time could've replaced Heal The World too "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I know I'm a little late here, but I'm gonna say my piece on the "Invincible" album. Basically, on the day of its release, or the week of its release I'm not quite sure exactly when it was, I went to a record store (which now no longer exists) and they were playing it. So I asked if it was Michael Jackson's new album. The guy was like "Yeah, it's really him." With that I went ahead & purchased it. I remember, I brought it home & basically thought that it sucked, for lack of better words. The only songs that appealed to me were "You Rock My World" (sans the incredibly annoying, constipated intro by Chris Tucker) and "Butterflies." That was it. So I burnt those two to CD and sold the album to a second hand record store a few months later.
Then a few months after that I saw it in a discount store for ten bucks. So, I naievely decided to give the album another shot. I had the same reaction. Then I gave it another listen after reading through some of the comments on this thread....what's that, Mike? You're unbreakable? Yeah, right. What's that, Mike? You're burpin on your records now?! Oh no, that's just the producer Rodney Gherkins or whatever his name is.....one of the other songs on this record even sounds like some karaoke shit. This album is TERRIBLE!!! Bottom line!!!!! If I was my eighth grade English teacher, I would've looked MJ right dead in his eyes and said, "You've done better albums than that, you cacodemon."

And some of the tracks that were rejected (Superfly Sister, Blood On The Dance Floor, Someone Put Your Hand Out) are better than those that appeared on the album. My favourite songs from Dangerous: Jam In The Closet Remember The Time Black Or White Who Is It Will You Be There I'm still pissed to this day MJ didn't put "Someone Put Your Hand Out" on "Dangerous"! Someone Put Your Hand Out should have definitely been there. I am not sure if instead of Heal the World, cause that´s such a typical MJ song. Like it or not, it´s been hugely successful and I think it had to be released. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Now we're talking about the Dangerous album.. what about Will you be there?
That song's gotta be one of Michael's best songs. Beautiful melody, beautiful lyrics, beautiful vocals.
