60s Throwback - Gene McDaniels

I was driving back from Las Vegas a few weeks ago and made the usual pit stop in Baker at Bob's Big Boy/Shoney's...

...Home of the world's largest thermometer.

In keeping with the 50s/60s vibe of the eatery, the music played is from that era.

One of the artists I recognized was vocalist/guitarist/writer/producer Gene McDaniels, specifically...

...A Hundred Pounds of Clay

A few other McDaniels tunes...

...Tower of Strength

...A Little Bit of Soap

...Raindrops

...It's A Lonely Town

...I Don't Want To Cry

...A Tear

...Chip Chip

You might also recognize his name as the writer of Roberta Flack's song Feel Like Making Love
