Yes!

A live in-studio performance of "Love Gun"!!!!! Man how sick is this going to be?????!!!!! I am running around the house yelling "Whoo!" "Whoo!" "Whoo!" like Rick Flair used to do on wrestling. If this stuff is anywhere near as good as the live version of "She Blew My Mind 69 Times" from David Letterman Show in the early 80s which Rick performed with the Letterman house band (and which is not included here), then I could lose my job tomorrow and not give a fuck, 'cause its gonna be a hell of a year. Slick Rick! I got my bang bang, do you got yours? Ho!!

lol that's a good way to describe the feeling. I'm going to get this DVD as soon as I possibly can.

I wish there was a live version of 'Glow' laying around somewhere, I love that song, and I can only imagine how 'The Bad Boys of Funk' would jam to that live on stage.
Lady Cab Driver is one of the greatest songs ever!

I hope I live to see the day Rick gets a postage stamp. He deserves it because that's how much he embodies the real spirit of America. Some Italian NYer guy called into an interview Rick was doing on Sirius radio a few years ago and told Rick that he - seriously - was his all-time favorite American. Man, let me tell you something - I could have cried because I knew JUST where this cat was coming from. These politicians and the teachers I had growing up etc talk and talked all that shit about freedom as if freedom were some sort of abstraction like the Pythagorean Theorem. Freedom is not an abstraction. Rick WAS freedom. Go listen to the bassline for "Break It Up" or "Wild & Crazy Love" if you need convincing. THAT is freedom to me. THAT is America to me, or at least the REAL promise of what America COULD and SHOULD turn into. In those basslines.. God Bless Rick. God Bless America. And gimme my DVD!

I can't believe it either. After re-reading the list, I'm getting more excited by the day. I'm glad the 1979 "The Midnight Special" performance isn't on there because I've got that DVD ordered, along with two other years, and should be receiving them any day now.

Now if Motown got off their asses and started re-releasing his albums, then it would be 100x better lol
