Anoop Desai - He's in baby!!!!

Does anybody watch AI. I can't believe this guy didn't make it into the top 12, They actually picked this fat red-necked guy with a mediocre voice instead.
anyway hopefully he makes it in on the wild card

no hate just perception and the truth. it was mechanical, uninspiring and fake. he needs to detach himself from those drones and develop a personality. the criticisms against his image were warranted. you can't just rely on a good alone average voice to see you through a competition. dude flatlined and took no risks. where's the huger? go hard or go home

Jamar was the best, yet he was stupidly eliminated by the judges and didn't even make the top 36. mad

i have a question, why do you people put down almost EVERY new artist that tries to come into the music industry, they are not all crap you know. I know american idol has gotten bad over the years but that's no reason to put this guy down because he is on the show.

first of all he is not fake, that is his voice, that's the way it sounds, and besides that he is probably the only person on the show that stays true to himself. Simon said he was a nerd, and you what he didn't care he has stayed himself from day one. secondly those "DRONES" are a very old and established college acapella group called the UNC CLEF hangers

http://www.clefhangers.com/

here is their website, you may not like what they do, but they work hard, they are a serious group, that you have to audition to get in. now back to anoop. I don't think he has an "average voice" I think he has an excellent voice, and he is not mechanical. did you even watch some of the videos i posted

http://www.youtube.com/wa...re=channel

hers one of them, why don't you watch them all the way through and LISTEN to them before you put the guy down

what about him is not "soulful"? is it cause he is Indian ? And how can you say he has no emotion

http://www.youtube.com/wa...re=channel

in this video he not overdoing it, he's not trying too hard, he just standing there singing from his soul, you can tell by the relaxed look on his face and the way he's grinning, I just want to know why you think he has no emotion? what would he have to do to prove to you that he "has emotion"

artist? are you calling him an artist? AI has zero credibility when it comes to creating artists, its just one big factory. he's an amateur at best whose best years are ahead of him IF he wants it to be - sure in given time he will do well but for now my judgment will remain - his whole aura, tone and delivery is robotic and drone-like and thats where my criticisms of him lacking emotion come through. why are you getting so worked up over nothing? i sure his group are great at what they do but the world doesnt need another Boyz II Men. There are plenty imitators in the world today. Music is not colour-blind. Im surprised you latch on to labels such as racism so quick.

i don't need to watch countless videos of him to form judgment. I can tell straight away. and for the record, if you cant handle the criticisms coming your way, don't make a thread about it inviting for people to do so.

so you admit you didn't watch the videos..... figures rolleyes

explain to me using examples, like a time frame from the video where he is " robotic" and "dronelike" If you want to be taken seriously you need to provide a valid explanation and evidence of why you think that way

You people love to call someone a crazy fan when they defend domeone being attacked, i don't even know him that well to be a "fan" but i was impressed and i think he at least deserves a chance and doesn't deserve to be shot down the way you did. your arguments were spiteful and arragant, he say he has no emotion and is fake? he didn't look fake to me, he looked like he was having fun, just enjoying himself.

and how is his group trying to be like boys 2 men, they are an Acapella group, thats what they do, mimic songs using their voices

you grow up, no one asked you to post in this thread i started this post to see if anyone on here like anoop as well, not to have losers come in and talk thrash, Of course you have freedom of speech , but don't tell me to grow up in MY own thread when you voluntarily came in here and put your little two cents in.

pffft this isnt the 1930s. you don't like it thats too bad honey. quit scrambling for justifications. you claim to have made this thread on the basis that he might be liked by some people on prince.org - but the title of your thread - THE ONLY GOOD SINGER - and the proceeding commentary underneath, you know the one about the fat red-neck guy, tells a very different story.and you call me arrogant? i guess your the only one that can reserve judgment. cry me a river.

Yeah I'm not really digging his uptempo performances though.

I like that red-headed Allison chick and Danny Gokey(sp?) too.

not really feeling him, i mean he's cool and all that, but its all so karoake, almost 99% of the 13 they picked i can see in a karaoke bar at best, theres nothing there, but then again this is NOT A TALENT Show, this about making someone "sell" for an album, nothing says talent. Listen to the judges when they say things like "your relevant, current, can sell etc..." nothing about being talented.

Im just not feeling what hes doing, but most of them in general. I have always said that if AI was a show that challenged people to write, play, create etc.. then it would be much different, but probably no one would watch. AI is right now doing things that get them ratings, be it the drama with that girl with the laugh, or whatever, there always seems to be a gimmick with this show so it loses its cred. Its just not on him, this goes for people that have won the damn thing to, AI is exaclty what it says, they are creating someone that we all will "like", musically, thats at the bottom of the list.

But i just thought it was all so contradictory of this show to talk about "karoake" style singing and then push someone through because they were popular with viewers but they thought was "karoake". Out of this crop the only one i would possibly buy into is Danny Gokely, and thats simply because he has this sort of "robert downey" touch in his vocals, a bit of soul feel. But AI this year let go a few people that if i had a label i would have signed on talent, and they pushed through people like that girl who sang awful every appearance excpet the first, but they held on to her, because i think they feel they needed a "jennifer Hudson" like girl.
