[Edited 2/12/09 21:15pm] She's never going to get that popular. She's going to be one of the awesome singers that NO ONE has ever heard of. No one wants to hear her.

She's getting ALOT of recognition I'm seeing threads about her on every music site I go to not to mention Metropolis was #1 on iTunes R&B charts and #20 on the US R&B charts when it came out "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. [Edited 2/12/09 21:15pm] She's never going to get that popular. She's going to be one of the awesome singers that NO ONE has ever heard of. No one wants to hear her. Too much of a generalistion. How can you know that if you don't have access to other people's music collections ? There's always a group of listeners who are going to check her. A good refrence is that artists can get some impression about who is interested in their work by people who join their myspace for example. Artists on myspace have previously planned concerts in certain areas of various countries, all based on interactions with fans on myspace. Like Blaqueknight explained in another thread, that new ways of promotion are happening online, and that the traditional business-model of promotion is losing grip at places. A buddy of mine saw Motown-artist Kem perform a quality show some years ago. Kem had to finance his own tour all by himself ! Now where's was that big promising record company taking care of him ? All a big joke if you ask me. [Edited 2/14/09 4:00am]

Kem should be large. He's a talented cat that deserves more recognition.
I think Janelle is great. It'll be interesting to see if she'll shift gears musically on her next joint. Some of the other stuff I've heard from her on You Tube sound very "early 80's - MJ'ish". We'll see. Cute ass too.

She's so cute and tiny. I think when she comes to town to perform, I'll slip her into my pocket after the show and take her home.
