Chaka also would become irrate at the comparisons between her and Donna in the 70's.

Whitney Hoston v.s. Mariah Carey- There both fake and i can tell they can't stand each other Same with Janet Jackson and Paula Adul

Beyonce v.s. Alicia Keys- I rememer Watching some award when beyonce just finish performing and when everybody got up alicia sat and just gave a you were wack and i can't stand your ass clap lol

Ciara v.s. Beyonce- I hear they don't like each other

Chaka Khan wasn't irate with Diane, she just used to suffer from a humongous ego(like the rest of them)

When some reporter asked her why she refused the offer of Diana managing her, she said something to the effect that "It will look like "Diana Ross presents Chaka Khan" and I wasn't having that"

The only person who suffered from her more than anybody,,,,,was Mary J Blige I'm glad they're friends now.

I love Chaka though, she NEVER bites her tongue and small as she is, nobody tried to mess with her,,,,even the badboys like Miles Davis & Rick James knew better than to press her buttons.

I think of all the divas of that time period, I have to agree that Chaka was probably the most interesting one, lol.

There was a little friction between Dionne Warwick and Patti LaBelle.In the early 90s,the two ladies along with Gladys Knight,teamed up for an HBO TV special.I forgot the exact details,but I think Dionne was annoyed when Patti tried to vocally upstage the other two? Gladys and Patti both talk about this in their autobiographies but they tell conflicting tales,lol.

Aretha Franklin vs.Natalie Cole---In the mid-70s,Aretha felt threatened by Natalie Cole.When Natalie burst onto the scene in 1975,critics were implying that Natalie was the "new Aretha".Aretha was pissed that Natalie wasn't really disagreeing with them (lol).She even added Natalie's song "This Will Be" to her own setlists,which was probably her way of saying "See? I can sing the song better than that bitch!"...lol...


Madonna vs.Mariah Carey---In a 1995 interview,Madonna was asked her opinion of the OJ Simpson verdict.She replied "What do you expect? Millie Jackson vs.Donna Summer---I remember in 1979,I read a blurb about Millie being pissed that people would see her in public and assume that she was Donna Summer."Everytime I change my hairstyle,she changes hers",Millie complained."What people don't know about her is,she's short,has big teeth and a wide can".

Who remembers the Mavis Stables/Aretha Franklin feud beside me?

ReRe & Mavis recorded a gospel duet in the early 80s where Mavis clearly sang louder than Aretha.

Next thing you know, Big Bird went back to the studio and lowered down Mavis' vocals(without her knowing about it ) when the album got released and she got asked about it later, she said "Ain't nobody singing louder than me in my OWN album" If that ain't Diva-ish, I don't know what is.

BTW I think the ONLY real Millie feud had was with Shirley Brown,,,,,I love Shirley but she's worse than Aretha, the bitch used to talk alot of shit and Millie fixed her ass something fierce

Donna Summer vs.Mariah Carey---In 2000,the two ladies appeared on a "VHI Divas" special tribute to Diana Ross.Surprisingly,Diana was on her best behavior and didn't have any drama with the other divas,lol.However,there was some backstage drama between Donna and Mariah.The story goes that,Donna arrived early,went to her dressing room and began preparing for the show.Mariah arrived later and complained about her dressing room.To make a long story short,the producers gave Mariah the room that Donna had already settled in.Donna was pissed.There's a portion of the show when Mariah and Diana sing a medley of Supremes classics.Guess what? The original plan was for Donna to join the two of them but because of this backstage drama,Donna declined.

Part of this list is invalid, because it includes Beyonce, Alicia Keys, and Ciara - you have to have been around at least 20 years to be a diva (and no, B, a diva is NOT the female version of a hustlah, try again...)

I've said it before and I'll say it again - there are only three divas - Cher, Tina Turner and Bette Midler. No one else qualifies - EVER - PERIOD!!!!!
