It was his idea for the collaboration, he chose Nicole (though billed to PCD, no one else is on this track but her), thats why its billed as a PCD feauturing Nicole Scherzinger, kind of a little Miami Sound Machine featuring Gloria Estefan type deal, meaning the girls get some cash too. He needed someone "american" that could interpret the song, and for the most part, looked the part, meaning "racially diverse", so thats why the call came in for her.

I could see that...Norah Jones is part Indian. She'd make it more mellow though....

Nicole feat. PCD is laughable...

The other way around, PCD featuring Nicole Scherzinger, for the billing of this track. Yeah Norah could have done something like she did with Peter Malick or Wax Poetic, people dont realize that side of Norah.
This was a good idea, because i dont the mainstream has a clue on any indian music or sounds, though im sure now that everyone is going to jack the mid east beats, though INXS used alot of it during 1992-1997, with tracks like "Questions" and "Ashtar Speaks".

Id say Frida is possibly the most Beautiful woman out there right now, i really think she is going to have alot of offers for everything, she just needs to do the right things, dont turn into some action flick chick

I agree...I've always been intrigued by Indian culture and it's great to see Americans showing intrest in learning about it.

I've always liked A R Rahman since the late 90's and he's one of the only good composers left in Bollywood. Most of Bollywood has turned into plastic-pop otherwise, and rips off music from all over the world. Arabic, Spanish, jazz, pop, r&b, hip hop, etc.

Im saying that americans are missing alot of great music from different cultures , the majority are not opened to other music, the music's level in the U.S is on the lowest level in general.....I listen to different kinds of music from different cultures.
