Their EP Reviver was recently released. The title was chosen as a natural progression from their last album - Skeleton. And because it's a palindrome.

There's so much to love about them. They're energetic, sometimes to the point of running over. A quality like that, if perceived a flaw, can be easily surmounted by the progression of existence and tuning. And that progression is evident from Skeleton to Reviver.

They were being tagged as "tropical punk," which is completely misgiving. Their sound is expiremental, incorporating elements of latin and african rhythms while weaving melodies through feedback and wily noise. Their patterns are delightful. And although these experimentations add intrigue to the band, it's more than just dressing. Their influences and sound are expansive, embracing noise as well as aspects of pop.





My favorite band. I've seen them more than ten times within the past year. Really lo-fi and d.i.y.. Plus, they're all really great guys! Intelligent, great taste, and good hearts.

I just discovered Heartless Bastards and love them...female fronted rock band from Ohio. Like the Pretenders in attitude!!!

Their new album 'the Mountain' is awesome.

Rock is pretty much a dead issue, im not hearing anything new thats even making me want to see or buy into an artist (new that is).
