Is Beyonce really that ubiquitous? I mean they even call her 'Beysus' (as in 'Jesus'). Is she as "everywhere" as people claim her to be? It's not like she is like how Michael Jackson or The Beatles were, right? [Edited 2/24/09 12:51pm]

You know what, she honestly isnt, its just that labels and marketers, are so tunnel visioned they are focusing on about 3-4 artists. Back in the 80's everyone was doing this, you had Madonna,George Michael,Michael,Janet,Prince and a ton of others constantly in your face, mainly because it was about being "competetive", nowadays labels dont want to be like that, they push albums back just so they dont have to go up against another artist, everything is geared only to succeed, a very UNHEALTHY idea. EDIT: ok now that i see the edit, yes she is this generations Michael Jackson in the sense that she is just used for everything. You really can't go anywhere without seeing/hearing her. I mean come on, was there a purpose for her being at the Oscar's the other night?

Whether you like it or not, and even if it's due to major exposure, Beyoncé is (still) the biggest female artist these days and has almost become somewhat of an icon to the "kids" from the 80's and 90's. We had the Beatles and MJ, now we have Beyoncé.
