Jackson 5-I Am Love

Yeah I know just what we need, another Jackson thread lol, but i've been listening to this song a lot lately and I really think it's one of the J5's best. I love how it starts off as a ballad and then turns into this upbeat, kinda funky song towards the end. It was a pretty mature sound for them. Jermaine especially really shines in this song. He sounds so smooth here. Great soul singer he is. Underrated song overall though, but one of their best.

music

"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart

Excellent song.

I posted in another thread awhile ago that Prince should cover this.

I dig this cut. I listen to it on occasion from my jackson discography.
I can't think right off hand which album this is from.
Moving violation maybe?

^ I discovered the song through that clip when I first saw it on the Cher show when vh1 was having a Sonny & Cher show marathon for weeks in 2000. I looooove that guitar after the song changes. I also love the Dancing Machine album start to finish.

I also discovered it on VH-1 and when I got the anthology, I was amazed with how amazing it was after hearing the entire track. Disc 2 of THE J5 ANTHOLOGY is the truth by the way.

Dancing Machine is the J5's best album, and "I Am Love" has always been in my top 3 along with "Get It Together" and "Dancing Machine".

FOOLS!!

In case you are wondering, David, this is the cut they open their reunion show with. You know, the one that I'm the musical director for...the one that ain't ever gonna happen. evillol One day when I have time maybe I'll put up the complete set list.
I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!
