Who wrote P.A.S.S.I.O.N.? Who's that early 90s group that had the very Family-esque hit song called P.A.S.S.I.O.N? The lyrics go: p-a-s-s-i-o-n, got me in a jam again, p-a-s-s-i-o-n...

Rhythm Syndicate featuring Carl Sturken and Evan Rogers. I suspected that Prince had a hand in their first album RHYTHM SYNDICATE because it has that Prince vibe, but it does not. It's a good album to seek out though. I love "You'll Never Walk Alone" from that album. And of course it has this song and "Donna". The album is kind of like the storyline of a relationship...It's cool.

Prince had nothing to do with Rhythm Syndicate, but St Paul Peterson did.
He played on a few tracks I think.....hold up, let me check the liner notes. I bought their album a couple of years back for like two bucks. Yes, St Paul played guitar & keyboards on the album...also he sang backing vocals. Not sure which tracks as it doesn't specify.... actually, take that back - the song "You'll Never Walk Alone" is published by St Paul music, so I guess he had something to do with that one. Also, Elisa Fiorillo contributed "additional vocals and attitude" to the song "Anatomy Of A Love Affair." [Edited 2/25/09 22:26pm]

St Paul co-wrote the track "a shoulder to cry on" with Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken, and its probably an ottake from his solo CD "down to the wire",which had production and co-writes with Evan and Carl. I might be wrong of course, but its possible. Anyway....
Rhythm syndicate is basically Evan and Carl. Their second album was more of a band effort. "Sexitivity" is one of those rare hidden jams nobody knows about. Prefer their second album. More highs, but also, more lows. Their debut is kinda safe, but I like "a shoulder to cry on" "tearin' down the walls" and the singles.
