Geez... if there is a reason to bash her, by all means, be my guest... but don't just post anything for bashing's sake... nothing in that quote suggests that she's getting dumber everyday, quite to the contrary... she realizes that having too much money could make people lose contact with reality! You just thought you could take a random quote and have a field day with it bashing Beyonce and everybody here would applaud you... sadly for you nobody went with it! I would even say, selfowned! And well, actually the whole point of this forum is to talk about music and not to gossip about celebrities... unfortunately most of the people here don't get that! sorry, but I gotta agree with this. A lot of ppl on this board dislike Beyonce, and while I don't agree with them, they usually give valid points for their reasoning. If you're going to call her dumb for saying something, you should support that with a quote of her actually saying something dumb. I like Bey, but it's not like those quotes are in short supply I graduated bitches!!! 12-19-09

She has a family she's close to, a husband, great talent and has never had any issues that paint her to be bad, though kinda goofy sometimes, so it's almost like people are looking for shit just to bring her down. I think more people need to learn to be grounded. MJ could have.
What on earth does he have to do with this thread again? They all know i love Michael, so any chance to attack him they will bring it up.

TotalAlisa said: R&B superstar BEYONCE has yet to spend any of her multi-million dollar fortune - insisting she hasn’t bought any luxury items with her cash.
The singer was recently named the richest star under 30 years old - with an estimated $80 million in the bank. But Beyonce - whose wedding ring is worth $5 million - is adamant that she has invested all of her money wisely, and won’t be spending any of her earnings on fast cars or expensive jewellery. She says, "Honestly, I’m very frugal. I haven’t bought a car since I was 16 or any diamonds since I was 17. I have a lot of property. I’ve invested my money and I don’t have to make any more, thank God, because I’m set. I’m now able really to be free and just do thngs that make me happy. It’s an effort to stay grounded." http://bossip.com/85974/s...more-85974 SHE IS SUCH A NARCISSIST. I knew she was full of herself and she was trying to hide her arrogance but her head is so huge she can't even contain it. I can't even believe she said, "its an effort to stay grounded" She is a Stinking entertaining. NOT jesus christ. She sings songs, shakes her butt on stage, take naked pictures. SHE does not heal the sick, blind, and help the poor. Any kind of entertainer who is arrogant has some nerve to think they are above anyone, when all they do is sing and dance. I could understand doctors, teachers and maybe police officers being arrogant, but not an entertainer. OH i forgot to add, after the inaugural ball, she had a few interviews and she said, Obama made her want to be smart I give her some credit because at least she is smart enough to know she's not smart. FOR SOME OF THE **** reading this, The topic of this thread is about beyonce's EGO not her money. [Edited 2/22/09 12:04pm] I see it like this: Jay-Z is taking good care of her and he's worth a lot more than $80 million. Therefore, she can afford to be frugal. But it's still good to know that she's investing her own money. [Edited 2/23/09 17:33pm]

I see nothing wrong with what she said.
In fact, I think it's admirable that she doesn't blow her money on items that depreciate like cars. (That's what happens when you work as hard as she did to get it. You're not likely to blow it foolishly.) I find it laughable that it would somehow be acceptable for a teacher, fire fighter, or other public servant to be arrogant as they live paycheck to paycheck, but somehow it's oh so wrong for a world renowned, rich, beautiful celebrity to be so.

Sounds like a typical Virgo to me...most of them are pretty frugal even when they have lots of $$.
MJ would be an exception. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

I dont see anything wrong in what she said either---however I'm sure its easy for her to save her money and not spend it on stuff like cars and jewelry and clothes and such...I mean, that stuff probably already has been given to her or bought for her. That happens to alot of celebrities--always getting free stuff given to them. That's great that she's investing her money---but big deal on that she hasnt bought herself a car or fancy things in ages--that's the same story with the majority of celebs anyway because people are always giving them stuff like that. Must be nice. [Edited 2/24/09 10:12am] MJ L.O.V.E: https://www.facebook.com/...689&type=2 / YOUTUBE: http://www.youtube.com/us...nderSilent

A teacher is VERY IMPORTANT.... and has a very respectful position in society. In reality we do not need entertainment or singers/dancers. BUT WE NEED TEACHERS. otherwise we would have doctors, lawyers, enginers. ect.... So if anyone has the right to be arrogant i would say a teacher, because they hold a importance in society. I find it laughable that you would think an entertainer is more important than a teacher or doctor, and that you think they should be arrogant when their presence isn't even NEEDED like teachers. We want entertainment but we don't need it.

Saying she's a diva, well yes. [Edited 2/26/09 16:43pm]

I don't know how anyone can expect someone in her position NOT to develop some kind of ego.
Call it confidence, arrogance, whatever but look at her life; she has sold millions of records - not just in her band but also solo, which has the added ego boost of knowing the band wasn't carrying her but that she can make it on her own - sells lots of concert tickets, won awards, been plastered all over the media and told how beautiful she is etc etc. How on earth can anyone stand in front of such huge audiences who cheer your every word and scream your name out and NOT lose a little perspective? If we're gonna say "you ain't nuthin special, you're just a human being" to them, well surely any human being would get at least partially swept up the whole thing. I think she comes across OK for someone in her shoes. Fine if she spouts a bit of rubbish sometimes, but remember that she gets asked these questions in interviews, she doesn't just rent out a full page ad in a magazine to waffle on about her points of view - she gets asked for them and she gives them. If you don't wanna know, don't read Beyonce interviews - I know I don't! This is not an exit

In reality how is a entertainer more important than a teacher or doctor.... So who really holds more importance. I don't think anyone should be arrogant. But that is just me. Its NOT understandable for me, sorry but i don't think dancing on stage and shaking your behind is that important to everyday society. How many people enteract daily with these celebrities versus a school teacher or doctor. So who is really more important, a person you see everyday and need to progress with your future, or someone you only see on television and hear on the radio and may never meet.....
