I hope those who attend have a good time and enjoy the shows. The amount of hostility on here is bizarre and i am at a loss as to why. It seems that some people are wishing for the event not to happen. I'm not particularly a fan of Michael Jackson but live and let live. I'm sure alot of people have been waiting for this for a long time. If you're not one of them, why let it bother you?

Have a blast. Prince at the 02 was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I hope that these shows bring you as much happiness.

At least from my point of view, it isn't that I don't want it to happen, just don't think it will. I'm afraid a lot of people might be disappointed though, there's a lot of time between now and July.

So that's it, huh? He is retiring for good after this? That's what he made it sound like. He didn't mention anything about new music either. This sounds like a farewell tour. I really hope he plans on doing a few dates in the U.S. because I just wouldn't be able to fly out to London. I would if I could, but it's not realistic for me. He better have plans to perform here!

I understand both sides of the argument. I'm just sure many folks are very excited about the news today and so they should be. Whatever will be will be.

The tour kicks off in July, according to Jackson.

Pretty sad for anyone who's never seen him. Not the climate to be traveling for concerts. Some will miss out just by happenstance.

I think it's possible that they would take the show to NYC, LA or Vegas if it does very well in the UK, but as for new music, I think it's safe to say he's retired.

Wow. Last shows ever? Or just outside of the States? or what? He said "this is it" for London. Don't know what that means.

Anyway, he looked great and his voice, omg, nice and deep. Loved his attitude too. He seemed so lively and spirited.

Maybe he just meant London. Honestly it really seems unfair that he wouldn't bring the show at leasat to the U.S. We may not fall out in the streets just because he farted but there are a lot of fans here and many who haven't had the chance to see him numerous times the way most of Europe has.

Michael is an amazing talent and I would love to see him...but I am in the US. Why not come here? The last time Michael toured it was outside of the United States. It's been a while since he performed a tour in the United States. Hopefully a dvd or live simulcast.

That's the general consensus among alot of fans right now.

I'm sure he loves his US fans but he wants to go out on top ...he'll get that in the UK ....that's why he's doing the last gigs here...

i'm sure he'll do a few dates in the US to say goodbye ....I think both Prince and MJ will scale down after this ....none of them want to go out like James Brown.....did the US even care when he died..... eek

We had DJ's crying on the radio over in the UK ....YES real tears...Crying like a baby over here... sad

Saying these are my last concerts ever is a good way of selling tickets. People wpuld relax much more if he'd say: Oh, and in August I'm gonna tour the rest of the world.

I wouldn't mind his words, he did say this is it for London, but you can interpret that the way you like. He didn't say this will it be for Manchester or even Bushey!

Yeah true. The only person I believe saying "This is my farewell" is George lol

Considering it took him 12 years to get back to touring, I really think this is the end and he doesn't want fans to be all "oh MJ will come back once again!".
