This was the track that turned me onto George Duke back in the day. It caught my ear because when I first heard it, I thought it was Bootsy. Even now when I listen to it, it still sounds awfully Bootsy-ish, lol. But then the other tracks on the album were some of the most progressive jazz I'd ever heard, really turned me out. Have been a stoned-cold Duke fan ever since. This clip is great LIVE footage that I've never seen. Thanks for sharing, and bringing back some funky memories.

I remember that. I used to read EVERY single little tiny thing written all over those Funkadelic albums, lol. When I look at those album covers today, I think "Who in their right mind would take the time to read all that tiny little scribble?". I know! - I know!: YOU AND I, lol.

Leon "Ndugu" Chancellor on the drums and the Bootsy-fied (which is an exaggerated take on Jimi Hendrix's vocal stylings) vocals tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I guess this was some tv-documentary or special. clip = disabled www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gMFcHpxAhw [Edited 2/20/09 20:43pm]
