Give Me Some Straight Up Pre-70s "Organ" Oriented Albums!

I know the obvious choice would be Jimmy Smith & Johnny Hammond, but I need more selections.

And if they're pre-70s and EVEN pre-60s, the BETTER thumbs up!

eek B-3!!! Now you're talking.

How about starting off with a little B-3 overload.

...The Cat (originally recorded by Jimmy Smith in '64)

Dr. Lonnie Smith
Joey DeFranceso
Doug Riley
Paul Shaffer

Did a thread on individual Pop/Rock tunes that had cool B-3 parts here:
http://prince.org/msg/8/215629?&pg=1
Most were 60s & 70s artists.

For more serious players...

...These should keep you busy for a bit. Most stay in the time frame.

Cool.

Too bad you're not getting more responses.
I'll try and find some other albums later.

I'm actually downloading Jimmy Smith's "The Cat" and Lonnie Smith's CTI masterpiece "Mama Wailer"(Which I distinctly remember you posting about, and Stanley Turrentine's Sugar).

See, I've been doing my homework pretty good lol

I don't know about whole albums, but Booker T and The MGs had a lot of organ in some of their songs such as "Hip Hugger" and "Green Onions".

Ooops, The Audience done beat me to it. lol
