Tupac film embroiled in dispute TUPAC FILM EMBROILED IN DISPUTE: There's a Tupac Shakur film in the works but — here's a shocker — it's being held up by legal wrangling over who gets to release it.
The primary combatants are the Morgan Creek studio and the slain rapper/actor's estate. Morgan Creek is suing Amaru Entertainment, the company run by Afeni Shakur, the late rapper's mother and executor, claiming she backed out of a deal to sell his the studio the rights for a film adaptation. The rights are especially necessary if the company wants to Shakur's music in the film. Amaru's lawyers deny there was ever any deal. "There is no agreement with Morgan Creek, there never was, and there never will be," said Amaru attorney Skip Miller, who added that the estate has been in talks with several studios, and that Morgan Creek is simply trying to scare away the competition. Shakur, the Oakland-raised rapper and eventual movie star, has been credited with selling more records than any hip-hopper in history, though much of the sales have been posthumous. He was shot to death in 1996.

I think his bio movie should have came out before BIGs did. I like both rappers but Tupac was most def the best. If they do a movie on him, I see his movie being bigger and better than BIGs
