Yeah, that American Bandstand-appearance from 1984/1985 is rare.
And they were rocking that new-wave look , especially on the backcover of the LP.
Somewhat similar like the Bar-Kays in that same year, lol.

"Taking Over" from around 1981 has the vibe of the Jackson's "Shake Your Body"

And "The Unfinished Letter" is a nod to The Carpenters

What I want, and cannot seem to find anywhere, is "In One Love & Out the Other" by.....is it Leon Sylvers? Or is it the Sylvers? That used to be my JAM!! music
