Wow...So much hate 4 Diddy on the org,as always.
But why??? Don't like his music? Ok,I also know some artists I don't like. I know he's not a musician and NOT the best rapper ever..he's no Jay-Z OR 2pac,he said it himself! And what about the sampling?? Damn,in the 90's EVERYBODY sampled! Coolio-Gangsta's Paradise(Stevie),Snoop Dogg-What's my name(Clinton), Will Smith-Miami,Geeting Jiggy,Summertime and others..... Anyway,I know great R&B/Hiphop producers like Diddy,Pharrel and Timbaland don't get a lot of respect at the org,because they are no musicians or just make hits...I guess. And I don't know what's going on behind the scenes but I remember ,when Puffy was at his peak, even some critical music journalists had 2 admit he did a great job with his production work. I really don't think someone can say Biggie's albums were bad productions and that Mase didn't sound fresh at the time. I know Puffy is a big head but so are a lot in musicland

What EXACTLY was he doing in this clip? Was he actually playing an instrument or was he doing what he usually does: sitting behind a mixing console moving a couple of faders on the mixing board? Until I see Puffy create a track like practically every other producer does (there is footage on youtube of almost any real producer creating tracks), then I have no reason to believe that he's not pulling his usual front. Puffy is a fraud musically; he just has an ear for talent and good business management skills. | |
