Jellybean Benitez featuring Madonna: "Side Walk Talk"

Not a huge Madge fan, but I like this song. What's JellyBean doing nowadays?

Jellybean is a good friend of mine. He is still Djing here in NY City. I saw him spinning at the Sullivan Room for his monthly, "Ain't Nuttin But A House Party", gigs. He still can play his ass off, and I mean that as a fan and as a fellow DJ. My favorite mixes by him are "Say, Say, Say", By Mac & Jack and Spillin' The Beans".

Starcat, I KNOW about Wikipedia. I also know that it is not a reliable source. I figured someone on here might know some inside info on Benitez.

yeah, so do I. He was my idol, and one of the main reasons why I started D.Jing house. His remixes were dope, stuff like, "The Real Thing", "Spillin' Tha Beans", The Mexican" and "Jingo". I still play some of them from time to time. Great stuff.

He still does. When I went to see him a few weeks ago, I stepped into the booth and there they were, the reels. I asked if he still uses them to edit and he just grinned.

Just go to pawn shop, Brah. I have a reel to reel that I use sometimes when I have nothing to do or if it's a holiday, and I just feel like mixing for hours. Pawn shops give great deals.

That's why u need to bring yourself back east. Great deals, great music and the house scene is making a comeback. Especially, in Williamsburg, where they have these clubs that used to be warehouses, back in the day.

I may work for the university of phoenix, but at their Jersey City campus. I do need to come out to your neck of the woods, though.
