...Mos Def - Good

Bamboozled & Something The Lord Made are a couple of his acting works that stand out for me.

One of the very few who I believe could make it as an actor based on skill and not just due to the fact that he's a music celebrity.

Supposedly, there's a film in development about Haitian revolutionary Toussaint L'Ouverture that has him in the cast.

I saw him in Topdog/Underdog years ago and he held his own and I was a fan of him as an actor from then on. Also shows good comedic skills in Be Kind Rewind.

I'm a fan of:

Mos Def
Babs
Harry Connick Jr.
Vanessa Williams
Queen Latifah
Will Smith
Cher
Diana Ross
Bette Midler
Audra McDonald
Mark Wahlberg

I think they're all good solid actors.

PJ was godawful in the indie film The Book Of Life.

I admit I cheated with Zooey as she was an actress first and then crossed over into music. redface

Mariah Carey changed my view in Wise Girls and from what I've seen from Lee Daniels' Push, she might seal the deal for me to the better nod

I was gonna break my list out the same as yours. I like Tim but don't know how good he is yet. Which reminds me, I'll throw in Dwight Yoakam as good. Justin has potential.

I though Lee Daniels directed her in Tennessee, though if I'm correct she is also in the movie Push which comes out tomorrow. I haven't seen Wise Girls since it went straight to video, and while the reviews of her performance were quite good, the movie itself was considered just so-so. Besides Glitter, I've only seen her in The Bachelor (the late 90s comedy with Chris O'Donnell, not the reality series) and You Don't Mess With The Zohan with Adam Sandler. If she really is as good as people say she is in Push and Tennessee, then I would move her up on the list.
