Eminem's comeback

What kind of comeback do you think he will have?

Hmm, that first single is just OK. There seems to be a void right now. But is the older more mature Em interesting? It'll be interesting to see who is checking for him.

That single he has out now is annoying as FUCK! I can't stand the way he rhymes. It's like he takes every word that rhymes and fits it into 4 bars, and won't be talking about shit.

i hope he flops, can't stand his novelty crap.

But he won't because there are still plenty of bleach blonde white spotty teenagers who think he is hip hop.

Why do people think Jazzy Jeff and Will Smith are not into there music? ..if you take this track Summertime and play it next to Summer Madness buy Kool and the Gang you can see how smart Jeff was with the hook ..he took this break and Will added the right balance of lyrics over the top ...it's timeless..its a classic...you have to also take into account the type of music they are using and when they did this..very smart.

People think it's ok to hate Will Smith & Jeff ...because of Eminem ..

Please just read the lyrics...and then post a rap that's better with no swear words in it.. wink

Intro/chorus: *sung*

Summer, summer, summertime
Time to sit back and unwind

Verse one: fresh prince

Here it is the groove slightly transformed
Just a bit of a break from the norm
Just a little somethin to break the monotony
Of all that hardcore dance that has gotten to be
A little bit out of control its cool to dance
But what about the groove that soothes that moves romance
Give me a soft subtle mix
And if aint broke then dont try to fix it
And think of the summers of the past
Adjust the base and let the alpine blast
Pop in my cd and let me run a rhyme
And put your car on cruise and lay back cause this is summertime

Chorus

Verse two: fresh prince

School is out and its a sort of a buzz
A back then I didnt really know what it was
But now I see what have of this
The way that people respond to summer madness
The weather is hot and girls are dressing less
And checking out the fellas to tell em whos best
Riding around in your jeep or your benzos
Or in your nissan stting on lorenzos
Back in philly we be ou in the park
A place called the plateau is where everybody goes
Guys out hunting and girls doing likewise
Honking at the honey in front of you with the light eyes
She turn around to see what you beeping at
Its like the summers a natural afradesiac
And with a pen and pad I compose this rhyme
To hit you and get you equipped for the summer time

Chorus

Verse three: fresh prince

Its late in the day and I aint been on the court yet
Hustle to the mall to get me a short set
Yeah I got on sneaks but I need a new pair
Cause basketball courts in the summer got girls there
The temperatures about 88
Hop in the water plug just for old times sake
Break to ya crib change your clothes once more
Cause youre invited to a barbeque thats starting at 4
Sitting with your friends cause yall remincise
About the days growing up and the first person you kiss
And as I think back makes me wonder how
The smell from a grill could spark up nostalgia
All the kids playing out front
Little boys messin round with the girls playing double-dutch
While the djs spinning a tune as the old folks dance at your family
Reunion
Then six oclock rolls around
You just finished wiping your car down
Its time to cruise so you head to the summertime hangout
It looks like a car show
Everybody come lookin real fine
Fresh from the barber shop or fly from the beauty salon
Every moment frontin and maxin
Chillin in the car they spent all day waxin
Leanin to the side but you cant spead through
Two miles an hour so everybody sees you
Theres an air of love and of happiness
And this is the fresh princes new defintion of summer madness
Da, Da, Da....Emancipation....Free..don't think I ain't..! London 21 Nights...Clap your hands...you know the rest..

No you don't...you might as well wipe of rap/hip-hop over the last 30 years because all breaks and samples come from somewhere ..its what you do with it that's smart and creative ..That's the art form.. cool wink

Will and Jeff understand this - hence summertime is a classic that supports the K&G version ..it adds to it and does not take anything away wink

Someonme like Eminem cannot last forever because he built his popularity on the prematurity of his white teenie fans that thought Eminem would be cool and rebbelious. But those teens must be in their early til late twenties now, and modern age teenagers probably never have heard of Eminem (after all his last single is from 2003, right?)

I liked his singles though. People say he's white and he can't rap, but he's much better than Piss Diddy and 50 Cent.

Never Ever saw the appeal of Eminem sorry to say. To me he always came off as a parody of a parody. The whole slim shady thing, the whole killing his wife or mother or whoever he kills in his songs, to me was nothing more than selling a "theme" to the public, kind of like how they sold 50Cent, "he got shot 9times" that was the big push for him, no skills, just "he got shot 9 times, now buy the record"

I enjoyed his first 3 albums a lot and his singles
were always great. Haven't heard the new one yet.

And I really don't care about the Will Smith vs Eminem thing...
I like both.

And...how come so many people hate Diddy (without a doubt a great producer)
while Kanye West gets so much love ???
The first time I heard Kanye, and I didn't know who he was,
I thought it was Diddy confused Really, they don't sound that
different 2 me,not like when I hear Jay-Z or so...
